  3. Can they give him phenergan instead for the vomiting?
  4. VS a lap procedure? And why? It's a big fear of mine. My open patients are always in so much more pain, and the huge staple line in the belly scares me!!
  5. Ibuprofen and Prilosec?! What in the sam hell? I would demand to be on heparin!
  6. Had my psych eval 15 days ago. She told me I passed. So what the f*** is the problem!! My surgeons office still hasn't recieved anything. I keep calling and they keep telling me the paper work isn't ready yet. So get it ready!!!! Ugh!!! As soon as the surgeons office gets the ok from the shrink, I will get my surgery date. Whyyyy is it taking so long
  7. Maybe find a doctor who offers in house financing? Kind of like a buy here pay here car dealership.
  8. You're going to work the same day of surgery?!
  9. That's pretty insensitive.
  10. We recently decided my husband should quit his job until our girls (7,2, and 3 months) are bigger. I make 3.5 times as much as he did and it was just dumb to keep him working to pay someone else to raise our kids. Anyway the pressure is on. I want my surgery so badly. But I just came off maternity leave and we are behind as it is. I can probably swing 2 weeks off but absolutely nothing more than that. I'm a nurse but work nights so it's not terribly physically demanding. If I were to have complications and need to take longer off work, my family is screwed. How do I decide what to do? Everything I do is for them, this is the only thing I want for me.
  11. You look great but why didn't you mention the surgery in your gym interview? Or did they want you to leave that part out? Regardless, I bet you can't keep the ladies away now!
  12. How do u get to be small but still have awesome knockers? No fair wahhhhh! You look great! Congrats!
  13. Eek. This post has inspired me to make sure I'm typed and cross matched and they have blood on hold for me before surgery. Nurses make the worst patients
  14. Luckily, there is a logical part of my brain screaming "HEY, surgical nurse..how many patients have you had die in surgery?"....the answer is 0.
  15. How exciting! Come back and let us know u didn't die!!
  16. One of my goals is a tight sexy one shoulder dress like that! Good job!
  17. You can develop a clot at any time. Are you on lovenox shots? I would call your surgeon.
  18. I'm having a mini nervous breakdown. Like cry my eyes out and write letters to my husband and kids. I'm so freaking terrified of surgery and feel almost convinced that I will be the 1% mortality. I also feel like I cannot continue to live this way. Did anyone else feel like this or am I having some sort of premonition?
