i am two weeks post-op tomorrow and it sounds like your doing great. I told my husband if i had one dollar for every food commercial that was on - i would be rich. keep up the good work and best of luck and success to you.

This will absolutely positively change your life! It is honestly the BEST thing I have ever done for myself! I had my surgery on 6/4. As of today, I am down 50 lbs! And it wasn't through starving myself or depriving myself of anything! I progressed naturally through the clear liquids, full liquids, soft foods and now almost anything...(no salad yet). Physically it is so easy! Emotionally its a little harder because there are many times that I want to eat more. Now that I've realized what an emotional eater I have ALWAYS been, it makes it easier. I see such a different person in the mirror now....inside and out! My energy level is out the roof and I feel like I have so much more confidence now! Even with about 80 lbs to go to my goal weight, its amazing!! Don't second guess yourself. Place your fears in Gods hands. Together with Him, you've got this!! Good luck on your journey!!!

I know how you feel. i am having surgery one week from today and last night i did wake up in a panic. with a million questions...........will i always have to sip my water, will i alwyas have to chew my food 25 times before swallowing.........will i be able to eat regular food after a while. am i going to be able to get all the water and protein down after surgery. i know that i am totally making the right decision, i guess it is really the fear of the unknown. good luck to us all!

Glad to hear your experience was great. I go in on Monday for mine. Little nervous but looking forward to it.

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement. I just re-read my post and it sounds like I am babbling away. It's my nerves. when I get nervous I start to go on and on chatting about nothing much! My poor husband has to deal with me and I am sure he is sick of me talking about the mundane surgery stuff!
