I have been on clear liquids since this past monday. My surgery is thursday. What kind lo liquid diet were you on?? I could only have 3 shakes a day, fat free broth, jello gelatin, ice pops and crystal light. And STILL i have only lost 7 lbs in 7 days! Good luck to you. I am being sleeved on thursday 10/31. Not in the least bit nervous yet. Day of, i am sure i will be a wreck. Just wanting to get it over with. Have you started your pre op diet?? First 3 days were killer, but its all good now.

I am so upset and confused I could scream! Last night I couldn't sleep so I decided to go through my insurance coverage more thoroughly. I have 42 BMI along with CAD. i have had 2 heart attacks and am trying to get myself right before the third one takes my life. About.a year and a half ago, i started seeing a nutritionist and a personal trainer. 4 months and nearly a thousand dollars later and i was lucky to lose 17 lbs. so I gave up. When I went to see that nutritionist I was already considering WLS but thought I would give it one last ditch effort. Now I started the process going so far as to have the psyche eval all done, my first gastro appt tomorrow and the pulmo appt two days after that. Now after reading more thoroughly i see that my ins requires a three month Weight loss program that thoroughly documents exercise, meals and progress. I will call the surgeons office to speak with the nutritionist and see how this works. I am thinking I already wasted time on the psyche eval and will be wasting my time on the gastro appt tomorrow as well as the pulmo on wed. I am so upset it isnt funny (did i say this aleady?) I know I should have read the info more thoroughly so this is all on me, it just doesn't make the disappointment any easier!

Can anyone tell me how to change the daily caloric count? I was on 1200 but now I am on pre op diet and need to change it to 800 calories. Any help is appreciated

I live in an area where the closest Planet Fitness is about an hour away. I wish we had one close by. I have been visiting their website every other day in the hopes that I would find one! Good luck and keep us posted

Since I am still pre-op, i dont know that I can help, but can you go back to basics?? Or try the 5:2 diet?? Maybe you just need to change up your diet to jumpstart the weight loss again.

Congrats, I just got the auth from my doc. I got the letter from my insurance saturday and my doc called today so I could go in and sign the consent forms and meet the surgeon. Sleeve date 10/31.

I thought the same thing since they made it a point for him to thank Darryl. Love that guy, not crazy about the creation of a council, though.

Received my approval letter this weekend but havent heard from the surgeons office. So irritated right now!

A cold, figures huh. I am imagining that will happen to me. I am still patiently (ok not so patient) waiting for approval, even though I called insurance on friday afternoon and they told me I was approved. Doctors office hasnt gotten the go ahead yet. So frustrated. My tentative date is 10/31. So you are 10 days ahead of me. I wish you luck, hope you ditch your cold so everything can stay on schedule. Use EmergenC, that seems to work pretty good. Called this afternoon and they told me I was approved. Called the doc and they hadnt heard from the insurance. So i am STILL tentative.ggggrrrrrrrrrrr

Well I called and still no decision. This is now day 6. They are killing me!!

My paperwork was submitted last week and still waiting for a decision. I am calling again in the morning!
