Also, I expected a more epic kill when she got the Gov. Instead we got a lame kill! She's torn up Walkers in better style than someone she spent a lot of time hunting down. Boo Michonne.

Ope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Ours was fantastic. Spent the better part of the week at my brother's home. The hustle and bustle of getting ready for the holiday was exhilarating. Wednesday, my godson was off from work. We woke up early, went to pick up the pies and then I took him to a pancake house for Breakfast. Being on liquids, i just sipped my Water, while Jace drowned his chocolate chip pancakes in syrup and dunked his bacon in the syrup. Afterwards, we went back home and he performed for me. He is 10 and musically, gifted. Played the drums for a while, then got on his piano and played Bach and Chopin for me. Anyway, yesterday, we all decided to go shopping. We ended up at Tarjay boutique, and my sister in law said 'Laura, we need to find you some pants, yours are unbelievably baggy on you. Grrrr, now starts the stress. Number one, I didnt want her to know my pants size is 24, number two, I hate clothes shopping. I look like a bum in everything! Ok, so she says to me 'get in the dressing room, Jay and I will bring you stuff to try on. She said 'MAKE SURE YOU COME OUT AND SHOW US BEFORE TAKING ANYTHING OFF.' So she says What size do you need? I honestly didnt know so I figured I lost some weight, maybe a 22?? Kim and Jay start marching from the clothing racks to the dressing room with jeans. The first 2 pairs Kim brings are size 18. I said 'kim, i will NEVER fit into these. And to make matters worse, they were skinny jeans. Imagine my surprise when they fit! I was absolutely blown away. I came out of the dressing room all timid like and embarrassed...and when they saw me in them, they started whooping and clapping and telling me how wonderful I looked. I felt hideous. I am 51 yrs old wearing skinny jeans and felt ridiculous. Jay and kim told me how great I looked and convinced me to buy 2 pairs. I started purees on Thanksgiving so I was petrified to get on the scale today. Felt like I gained 20 lbs now that I am eating. I was sooo surprised to see I lost another 4 lbs since Tuesday. But I stll went back to Target this morning and returned both pairs of jeans. I still cant juatify sticking my old carcass in clothes made for younger women. No matter how good they said I looked. Besides, they are family, they're supposed to say things like that.

Hate that its the mid season finale!! Now we have to wait 3 months after tonight. BOO?

Yes I do know what you mean. I never wore pants that hugged every inch of my lower body before so it felt weird. Besides, i think they installed carnival mirros in the stall I was changing in, because I swear I was looking wavy and out of sorts!

My experience was they give you ice chips while on the IV, but once that was removed I got a tray of food with broth jello and apple juice. I had to ask the floor nurse for the shakes.

Beautiful Family Laura...you guys look like you have a blast together. Good for you guys, you dont see that nearly enough these days. And the best of all, NO ONE is looking at their devices in the pics. GOTTA LOVE THAT! Had a great Turkey day ate very little but oh so satisfying....Started mushies yesterday and so far the only thing I've come across as a slight problem is Tuna. Sat in my stomach like a ROCK! I didn't take pictures of myself at all, never usually do. Once I ditch some of this flab, I may start and will post them then. Glad you had a great day.

The only thing I needed help with was laundry. Leaning over the machine to pull out the clothes was right at my incision sites so I was unable to do that. Thankfully I had help with that.

Bonnie, you can always add celery powder too. That is my plan once I hit the pureed stage, which is this thursday!

I also went back to work after 2 wks. No issues and midshift I was getting tired but each day got easier.

Thanksgiving day I will progress to pureed foods. I am very excited about that. I am preparing some dishes that I can freeze in 3 oz quntities. Will make it easier during the week whe I go to work. This coming week I only work Monday and will be off the rest of the week. My brother lives in NY while I live in PA. Tuesday I will pack up and stay with his family for the week. I was trying to work on a menu for myself for the week. Well today my sister in law called to tell me she spent a few hours on the net yesterday looking up blogs from sleevers to get ideas of what I will be able to eat. She told me she went shopping and picked up SF pudding, greek yogurt, tuna, canned chicken and is making a pot of fat free refried Beans. She also has squash, carrots, and green beans. She was so excited shopping for this stage of my diet for me. She even picked up SF ice pops. She said, just bring your shakes if you need them and your Vitamins, we are all set here for you! I cant express how much I love her. She is such a caring and wonderful person and my brother made a phenomenal choice in his life partner. This thanksgiving is going to be so exciting because for the first time in forever, i will not stuff myself like the turkey! It will be about family and enjoying company more than anything. My brother then told me when dessert is served, that he will go for a walk with me so the temptation wont pose a problem. I am really blessed. Truly truly blessed. So excited for this next phase!!

Thank you all, I do have an amazing brother and SIL. My bro and I are 4 yrs apart but are super close. We speak numerous times throughout the day , think alike and pretty much have the same reaction to things. We have been this close all our lives. We also see each other at least every other week. They have 2 boys whom I am crazy about and he is the same with my son. I am very lucky indeed! Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Wow! Acubi, you are on solids already?? I was sleeved the same day and still on liquids only. I start pureed on thursday. Cant wait! How are you doing so far? To OP, you can get recipes from world according to eggface. Or just google bariatric food plans. Today I made a fat free refried Beans recipe I found on the net in anticipation of my next phase. They freeze great and it smelled out of this world!!! Good luck!

He is a conflicted man for sue! Hate him but he brings so much to the show. Emotions run the gamut! I have NEVER been addicted to a show like I am with this show. I watch all three showings every sunday night. And now, next week is the mid season finale. Seriously, AMC?? By feb, i will have serious withdrawal!
