  1. 9 months post op. Hw-310. Cw- 175
  2. I have PCOS and am 9 months post op. Started at 310 preop and am now 175. I've had some stalls but following the guidelines and exercising have given me great results.
  3. Im taking a cruise when i reach goal weight because I've always dreaded and avoided vacations in warm weather. I don't want to wear shorts or a bathing suit! So a cruise and new wardrobe!
  4. I was 310 when I started and today I'm 244. So far my stomach shape is the same just much smaller. Like I'm slowly deflating a balloon lol. I've still got a lot to lose of course... I'm sure well probably be rewarding ourselves with a tummy tuck when it's all said and done. Have u heard of dry brushing? Look it up, I've just started and it is supposed to help with the loose skin
  5. Awesome! I dream about being in onederland lol.
  6. How are the husband/wife sleevers doing? Updates please! Here's ours : My husband is a beast. He has lost 75 pounds (including preop) and is under 300 for the first time in years. I just hit my first goal as of this morning - 50 lbs down.(including preop) and and in the 250s Surgery date August 3rd
  7. Try diluted apple juice. It works for me every time.
  8. Girl I envy you! I'm a PACU RN and had to go back 10 days post op and wow! I wish I would have been able to take off longer. Enjoy that time.
  9. I am almost 6 weeks post op now. I can tell you that at week 3 I had major regrets. I was on a stall, friends and family were going out to buffets and eating all sorts of stuff that I couldn't. I spent a whole day thinking 'ill never be able to go to a buffet again, ill never enjoy food like I used to, etc....' But now at week 6 the regrets are gone! I'm so glad that I did this for ME. So what if I never go to a buffet again! I'm learning now to savor and really enjoy my little portion of food and I'm ok with that. I want to look and feel good. And so will you. Good luck!
  10. Sleeved August 3rd. Hw: 310 Sw: 294 Cw: 269 Gw: 155
  11. I used a no interest credit card and will have it paid off within the next year
  12. Diamondhead here! And coincidentally, I was sleeved on August 3rd as well lol.
  13. Everyone is different but that's awesome for you. I'm sure alot of it was Water weight and I think it depends on your preop diet as well. If you're on a strict diet for 1 month prior to surgery you won't loose so significantly right after surgery because You've already lost a good bit in preop and water. But for those who have no preop diet - you can get a really drastic number immediately post op. either way - consider yourself lucky not abnormal. I don't know any of us that wouldn't want to loose 20 Lbs in 1 week!!
  14. HW - 310. SW - 294. CW - 274. . I had a 2 week preop diet that got the first 15 off. I've been in the famous "3 week stall" for about 6 days and haven't lost anything but that should end soon and ill start dropping again
  15. I agree with most of u who posted above. The woman who asked is a nice lady (a little awkward), "appears" to be comfortable with her 40ish bmi, and I think she liked me fat. the question just threw me for a loop. I had thought of many questions to come but really was surprised by that one because when first asked I didn't think .... , I thought it was such a "duh" answer. But like many of you have stated, there are lots of reasons to loose weight. Anyway, it felt good to have people start to notice a change in me
  16. Yesterday at work a woman pointed out that she noticed I had lost some weight. I thanked her and was glad people were starting to notice. Then she said... Well, why are you trying to loose weight??! Ummm.. Really! I said well. I'm fat aren't I? Lol. She laughed and moved on. Seriously, why?
  17. Definitely! How are u doing in your journey?
  18. We had the same thing happen to us as well with this surgeon. Even though my surgery went great and i feel that he is very competent, I will not be recommending him for this reason as well as a few other reasons. Unfortunately, his staff is ruining his credibility.
  19. Got discharged from the ER around midnight last night but all is well now. Thanks for the prayers!
