  1. First baby speed bump in our post op journey. Steve is in ER now with dehydration and low bp. 76/43. Eek. ( He kept feeling like He was going to pass out). They are giving him IV fluids, of course stopping his bp med and checking his blood values. He's already starting to feel a little better with 1/2 bag of the IV fluids and bp is now 104/63 so moving in the right direction. On a positive note - he no longer has high blood pressure! Prayers appreciated everyone.
  2. Good job! You're doing great! How has it been going back to work? Are u just having Protein drinks while working or...?
  3. Yes Gretta! I missed him so much, but now he is wearing me out! Lol. I need a nanny. Ha.
  4. Good overall. I'm tired but I know that's from the low calorie intake. I started my vitamins and am trying to get my protein in so that will help. My stomach is tender but I have no pain. I even slept half on my stomach last night. Im feeling pretty good but of course I've been really taking it easy.
  5. Mississippi girl here! I'm on the gulf coast. 6 days post op. I was self pay in Mexico too. $5500. All went very well.
  6. I would kill for an egg lol. I'm 6 days post op and still on liquids.
  7. A heating pad was essential for my recovery! Bring one with you, I did. It really helped with the gas and my back was more soar after than my stomach. It stayed on my back/shoulders for the first 2 days
  8. All went well! We're at our hotel now. Still having a little gas pain but overall doing well. Now just ready to get home to our sweet baby boy.
  9. We're doing great now. The first night was rough, but now we both feel overall very good. We were discharged from the hospital this morning. Our swallow tests came out fine and we finally got our first taste of broth in 72 hours! It was heavenly.
  10. Steve and I are having our surgeries today. Y'all please keep us u in your prayers! We're at the airport now
  11. At the airport waiting to catch our flight to Tijuana! I'm starting to have that pit in the stomach feeling but...here we go
  12. I would love a PDF! I also like seeing everything on paper.
  13. Hope everything went well yesterday Brenda! I'm thinking of you!
  14. I go back and forth with my emotions. I'm having surgery 8/03 and it still feels a little surreal. I have a pain in my side and I think 'oh no my appendix is bad'. Then I think maybe I might get a cold right before my surgery date. Or a hurricane will come. Then I think..,, it goes on and on lol. Maybe I'm just nervous because I want this and think that something is gonna mess it up. I've had surgeries before too but it's still scary each time. You're not alone! But, we can and will do this and it's going to be great!
  15. I'm drawing a blank...what does NSV stand for? Lol
