Let's talk GAS!
I think you should leave a message for your doctor before your. Kidneys shut down (acute renal failure) from not enough liquid to make urine. I am post op day one and find that drinking very small sips of coconut water is tolerable along with diluted mio.

Can you believe this?
I am day 1 post op, now resting at home from band removal and conversion to gastric sleeve. My surgeon said my surgery took over 4 hours because 1)my pancreatic artery was trapped inside the band, 2)lots of scar tissue posterior side of band, 3). Not only was my port sewn in side ways (hence the electrical shocks I had been getting) but was leaking fluid. And the kicker is it was a port from the Realize band attached hodgepodged to an allergan lapband which are not interchangeable! No wonder I have had so many problems with the lapband. Good riddance lap band and hello sleeve!

Where Is Everyone From?
Orange County california. Surgery in LA through Kaiser.

I feel weak ;( dry mouth, throwing up.
That was my concern being far from home- the follow up would be difficult. But you are there now so I agree trying to see your surgeon again. If no satisfaction then get back to the states and have the airline have an ambulance waiting to transport you to the nearest ER.

Band 2 sleeve in 2days...anxious...and starving :-)
Just a few hours post op but I have a PCA morphine pump working great. Also had a lot of nausea meds initially post op. Recommend IV benadry and toradol in conjunction with the narcotic pain meds. A huge difference and work together in an effective way. We will see how I feel in the morning.

I'm sleeved and band free!
Its official! The band is out and sleeve in place. I feel great. So much easier than the band surgery. I have walked and drank 60cc so far. The surgeon had to place a drain because the band had been strangling a major artery. No wonder I was fainting all the time and low blood pressure. Night and day difference. Still in the hospital. Likely go home tomorrow. Best thing I have ever done for myself!

If there was a Class Action Lawsuit against the band....
I also just pulled out my consents for the lap band and no where does it describe anything other than the standard post op disclaimers. But anyhow, there is no argument. Just don't participate if there is a lawsuit. Simple. It was just a poll asking opinions. Frankly your two posts sound like someone who works for one of these lap band companies. For me, I hate the band, its coming out, and I'm getting the sleeve. I have no intention of sueing anyone but as a nurse I know there are plenty of medical devices that do cause harm and companies are found at fault. Vaginal mesh has a 15% failure rate. That was enough for a recall and successful class action lawsuits. With the high failure rate and subsequent complications I can only imagine what's going to have next.

If there was a Class Action Lawsuit against the band....
We will have to choose to agree to disagree. You might also not ever sue any one who rear ends you on the freeway either because of course, you did understand that an accident may occur while operating a car before you got in.

If there was a Class Action Lawsuit against the band....
I was not informed. Infact I was grossly misled to believe that this device stayed in forever. Also they are responsible for device failure just like the tobacco industry and smoking. Add to it the complete deserting by this fly by night surgery center after my operation.

Who else is taking before pictures?
