Glad i changed my mind!
I'm getting all of my medical records and as a nurse I know exactly what to look for so this oband group should be shakin in their boots.

Glad i changed my mind!
Initially I went to one of their seminars. All of their hospitals were 50 plus miles from my home. So I went through oband group instead still horrible aftercare. After I got the band never able to see them again. Their surgeon butchered me inside and I am likely going to sue them for all these medical bills I have and for losing 2 jobs due to too many hospitalizations.

1 month out and I feel like I have no sleeve
There were more foods I couldn't eat than could. I should have been a size 2 with the amount of food I ate with the band. Very frustrating to throw up everything for 2 years.

Does insurance paid for revision?
Very good! My band had slipped too and couldn't keep anything down. Had surgery a week later. So glad this band is out and have a new sleeve!

Glad i changed my mind!
I don't know either. But I hear less and less about it. Here in the LA area the billboards were everywhere which led me to get a band. Thank god mine is out and am sleeved one week out.

Does coffee effect weight loss?
There is no nutritionist who advocates for coffee. But I love my coffee so awhile back I switched to yerbe mate latte and chai latte which still gives me a kick but with alittle nutrition too. Very alkalining yerba mate which is part of clean eating. I do feel a difference. Less acidic even decaf is acidic which is hard on your tummy. I take a tsp of loose leaf yerba mate and add 1 cup hot water and about a tbsp of steamed half and half. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Its delicious!

I'm wondering if you could get more protein from regular food sources than just filling up on the shakes?

60g protein + 64oz water at 3 weeks = impossible!
See my post about the ice shaver maker for extra fluid intake. As for protein I am struggling too. Still on full liquids only 9 days post op. I'm waiting for the puree stage this week. We will see how I do with that.

Want a little treat?
By the way each cone equals 1 ounce of liquid!

Want a little treat?
I bought a hawaiian shave ice maker at Target for $25. I also got 3 bottles of assorted sugar free flavorings. Omg. So good. For those of us who are still on clears or full liquid this is a Godsend. I am in heaven and my kid loves it too!

May sleevers results so far!
I have a sippy cup with a larger hole in it and kinda let it trickle in my mouth. I'm finding more liquids go in that way.

Vegetarian food
How about hummus? I was thinking this would be a good protein source on its own.

Sleeved 2 1/2 weeks ago.... STALL!
Maybe measure yourself to keep motivated.

Overthinking?
I think the full reality of what happens with the sleeve post op is much more valuable than anything the surgeon has told me. After all, he doesn't have one himself! Its like taking diet tips from Roseanne Barr- who would want to do that right? If something scares you ask more questions. Our minds like to fill in the blanks when there are knowledge gaps.
