Ever fear losing to much weight?
That's a very real question. For me the last time I was 143 I looked anorexic. Every bone showed in my chest and back. You would have thought I was 80 pounds not 140. For me i m shooting for the moon but as vain as I am I will stop when I no longer look healthy or feel good. Google "setpoint theory" for weight control. I think that will explain a lot for you. Hope that helps!

Possible complications?
As a nurse I urge you to call your doctor right away.

Newbie in Phase 2 needing help/opinions...please?!?
For my plan I'm on the liquidy soup full liquids until my preop appt Wednesday. I'm having liquidified potato soup, cream of broccoli soup, and blenderized bean bacon soup. I'm sick of it already but my printed out schedule has cream of wheat, thin oatmeal, soft cheeses, lowfat yogurt at stage 3. Its best to follow what your doctor tells you.

Post op complications
I don't drink at all. I got pancreatitis from the surgeon manipulating it to free the entrapped spleen artery that was inside the lapband which had slipped. I'm home doing better but get winded and so wiped out from just alittle activity. Once I came home I had to resume wife and mommy duties so hard.

Husband Spying on Me
Honestly I am very concerned for you. My husband began doing weird things (oh the stories I can tell you) until after we go divorced he got diagnosed schizophrenic. I'm not saying your husband has a psych problem but his behavior is so out of the norm its kinda scary. It is not worth years trying to shove a round peg in a square hole. I'm here if you want to talk.

if I read about another stall Imma pull my hair out!
Fyi the medical community refers to "stalls" as plateaus. Health is a continuum which is neither static or chaotic. There are things we can do to move forward or go backward. That's why people ask the same questions. Its hard to scroll back through 100,000s of posts for answers. True people have a "right" to voice their opinion but there is no "right" to be rude about it - expect people to launch back. We just need to band together and when one fails we need to pick them up and carry them until they can fly solo again.

June 25th Sleevers? I need a buddy...
Your body won't let any fluids or fat go if it thinks its starving or dehydrated. I gained 4 pounds post surgery without having anything oral for 6 days due to this fact. Once you increase your intake you will begin losing because your body will be ok with it. Hang in there!

1 month out and I feel like I have no sleeve
I dream of pizza. Haven't been able to eat the bread part in over two years due to the lapband. Would be nice to have a bite and not choke like before. I look forward to it!

June surgery dates
Pureed foods are blenderized foods similiar to baby food consistency or pudding consistency. Hopefully I get to start this stage this week at my post op appt. And I agree, this is a very nice thread going!

June surgery dates
I make my own creamy soup by boiling peeled potatoes and mashing them, adding water and a tiny pat of butter. Goes down better than anything else. Having problems with the protein shakes any kind gags me. My baby tummy doesn't like it. I'm postop day 8 and lost 13 pounds. 7 the week before surgery and 6 since surgery. I also add mio to my water, up to 40 ounces daily now. Its a work in progress for sure.

if I read about another stall Imma pull my hair out!
Its hard to not worry this sleeve will not work when I have had a failed lapband. I had been so hopeful and now I am hyperviligant with everything related to this sleeve. Its so helpful to come here in "safe" company with people who are in the same boat as me. By saying you were extremely annoyed it suddenly no longer felt like a "safe" place to say my fears or vent or whatever. I'm sure you didn't mean it like it came out. You seem like someone who is also sensitive and would make a wonderful "buddy".

- Confusion re: Post-op Diet and stages
The surgeon advances you based on how you are individually doing at each stage. You may need to stay on a certain stage longer than someone else. So important to let your doctor know if you have any difficulties or issues right away. You wouldn't give a baby a cheeseburger right away so don't expect to feed your tiny "baby tummy" any different.- 1 month out and I feel like I have no sleeve
I'm only one week post op but the surgeon said get a 5 inch plate, divide it into 4 quarters. One section for protein, veggie, fruit, and starch at each meal. Begin with protein, then veggie, then fruit, and last starch.- if I read about another stall Imma pull my hair out!
Its all good no worries. : )- if I read about another stall Imma pull my hair out!
Weird I have some dudes pics popping up on my posts.- if I read about another stall Imma pull my hair out!
I'm sure you meant well but it felt alittle hostile. Aggressiveness masked as "help" is not helpful. For me, I was taken a back by it.- Anyone feel 'normal' after getting their staples out?
I have staples too cannot wait for next week when they are removed.- if I read about another stall Imma pull my hair out!
I think its a good idea to let this one rest.- Co-workers are starting to notice weight loss!
When I go back to work I'm going to say I eat cheesecake three times a day and that's my "diet". Lol.....can't wait to mess with their minds!- if I read about another stall Imma pull my hair out!
Oh no! Clean eating magazine is no more? Wow. I did get a very good book called alkaline acid diet by Dr Vassey at sprouts. I have a friend who's husband lost 300 pounds by doing this way of life eating and became a doctor of natural medicine. I got curious out of fertility issues and kept reading about alkaline foods. Basically you want to neutralize the ph of your meals as much as food to reduce immflammation. It is very easy to do. If you have something an acidic food you add in alkaline foods and you are balanced. Google search and you will find a lot of informtation. Private message me if you want more specific info.- The goal weight number
I picked 140 because I would like to weigh what my drivers license says! Seriously! I'm 5 '6" now down to 210. I weigh more than much bigger women which surprises me- I'm a nurse I weigh a lot of patients. I used to be a gymnast and competitive dancer. I say lean muscle would be preferred over being fluffy at a lower weight. Its healthier for sure. - Confusion re: Post-op Diet and stages
