i know that it's the best for me, because I'm tired of being tired all the time, my quality of life is worth any of the risks involved. Plus with a BMI in the 80's not doing it is a greater risk.

AngiD replied to Webchickadee's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can't say that I am looking forward to a 3 week pre op diet but I am more nervous about the surgery, I never had any type of surgery and have been in the hospital only once and that was last yr for the first time. It's takes everything I have not to chicken out, but I want to have a life instead of just existing and to be comfortable in my own skin for a change. -
Having munchies today, trying to drink lots of water and not eat unless hungury to learn better habits before surgery.

AngiD replied to gamergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I want a scale but my weight fluctuates because of water retention, I don't stress about it. -

AngiD replied to gamergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't own a scale, The only place I weigh is at the doctor's office. -
my first doctor wanted me to lose at minimum of 70 before he would consider doing the surgery, but I decided to switch to a closer doctor because I did not like that I live in Springfield mo and he was is St Louis mo, plus I just wasn't comfortable with him for lack of a better word. he was rather cold.

you will lose weight, your body is still healing and recovering. give it time and follow your doctors instructions and you'll lose.
-
when was your surgery?
-
from what my doctor said part is where you are carrying your weight, if the surgery can be done safely and also to see if we can handle the change.
-
My doctor wants me lose weight also, so far I have lost 31 pounds, but he did not give me certain amount to lose, going by my stomach thickness and wants me to cut out carbs. You can do it.
