I was sleeved October 24th, have lost 8 pounds so far. Everybody loses at a different rate, but if you're sticking to plan, making sure you're getting your Protein and Water in, I'm sure the scale will start moving.

My surgeon also didn't require a liquid diet, just a 1000 calorie healthy eating plan starting 2 weeks prior to surgery, which I was very happy about. I wish you the best of luck, DeeGee!

My nutritionist said post op you should avoid drinking from a straw because it makes you drink faster, and you want to take it real slow when you're drinking your liquids, so I took it to mean never to drink from a straw, or at least wait until your much much further out from surgery.
