  1. Aetna wants you to either loss or maintain your weight. So just say if u started at 300lbs and you lose weight at every appointment and you do gain as long as you dont go over 300lbs. You can not go over the weight you were at your first weigh in. Does this help??

  2. I started my journey June 2013. I had to do 6 months of weight management classes. sleep study, upper GI check and pulmonary clearance. My paper work was submitted 12/13/13. On 12/19/13 got a call I was denied. I was denied because I gained weight. So I appealed it. I have arthritis and degenerative disc disorder in my lower back. So I couldn't exercise what so ever. I could barely walk and stand. So I had been going to the dr over 2 years about my back. I also have PCOS. So I got all my records from my dr about my back. And I got all my records from my obgyn about my PCOS. I wrote a letter as well. I sent all this to aetna on 12/30/13. Because of the holiday aetna didnt get my papers until 1/3/14. On 1/7/14 my denial was approved. I had surgery on 1/31/14.

  3. I had my VSG on 1/31. Went to the dr today and have lost 18lbs since surgery. I've lost 27lbs total. 9lbs from pre op. QUESTION... I was moved to full liquids today. So im able to eat mashed potatoes. I ate some but I never got that full feeling. I ate maybe 6 very small spoon fulls then I stopped. I just didn't want any more. Is it normal not to actually feel that "FULL" feeling??

  4. Yes I had some but I never used them. The dietician told us that they would not help. And I didn't want to take them anyway. So I never used them. But I think all the gas I had is gone now. I did aloy of burping but the nurse told me that I need to pass gas to feel bettet. And eventually I did! So I feel a whole lot better now gas wise

  5. Hey Hun. Sorry to hear ur having some pain but it will get better. Ok now that uve been sleeved tell me the good bad and the ugly about surgery day and ur hospital stay.

The hospital stay is terrible. All day and night they are in and out doing something. I never really had pain but the gas is very uncomfortable. I was more sore then anything. But that lasted 2 days. It hasn't been bad. Although getting these liquids in is kind of hard. I have to sip even when I dont want to. Right now I have a slight headache and a little light headed. But not to bad. I go to the dr on Thursday! So im hoping all is well! Oh I did throw up 2x in the hospital. I was very nauseated. But that passed.
