**Surgery date haha

I decided to have the surgery because my health was starting to be effected. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and pre diabetes. I have been overweight and dieting all of my adult life and have lost and regained weight so much- I have an entire closet of clothing sizes 12-24. I want to live and enjoy being active with my 12 year old twins. I haven't been in shorts much less bathing suit in over 15 years- I want to get out and play. Can't wait to get a date

Hi! I'm new so I apologize if you have already answered this question somewhere else How much time did you take off before returning to work? I am hoping to return after a week and a half or so. Is that a reasonable expectation?

I am on thyroid medication- have been for years for hypothyroidism. I have been curious if I can expect changes in dosage after surgery.

I'm sorry you are in pain! Congratulates on your surgery- I hope you can rest and feel well soon.

I am pre-sleeve and am keeping it quiet because I don't want attention. I've told my husband and that's it for now. I will revisit the idea of sharing it with family and friends after its done and I can't be talked out of it. I don't think I will tell coworkers. I don't know if I'm ready to open up the topic of my weight/health.

I can completely relate. I am still getting all of my pre work done and it scares me sometimes to think about being "average" size. I've defined myself as being a big person for over 20 years. It is sometimes a comfort to be ignored, not noticed. I've grown accustomed to being fat. I am afraid of being unhealthy so I really want the sleeve. But sometimes I'm scared- what will I be like when I am smaller? What will the world be like?

I'm addicted too! I love the support, the openness, the ideas. I love it- Its replaced my other social networks lol.
