  1. No monitored program at all. If you log with you user I'd and password to the BCBSNC website and put Bariatric Surgery into the search bar the entire policy and requirements will come up. They were VERY quick on approval, my doctors office ws even surprised by it.
  2. I should have mentioned mine is BCBSNC
  3. I have BCBS and i called after about 36 hours just to make sure they "got it" and they approved right then over the phone. Was shocked at how quick considering the office coordinator told me it would be about 2 weeks!
  4. My insurance listed five years history as a requirement but never actually asked for it and they approved without it. So I wouldn't worry about it too much.
  5. Preop scheduled for 8-22 now I just need to schedule appointment for clearance from PCP. So exciting!
  6. Great thanks so much. Mine will be out of Mercy also. How has your recovery been?
  7. Anyone on here recently use Dr. Angstadt? I'm scheduled for 9/3, just looking to hear how surgery went. Anyone else scheduled for 9/3 as well?
  8. Sorry you're in such pain, hopefully it will pass soon. Thanks for posting these items for those of us who haven't been sleeved yet.
  9. That's great news! Glad you are feeling good
  10. I did my endoscopy elsewhere because their anesthesiologist didn't accept my insurance. Just have my cardiology appointment left (next week) and then they can submit the paperwork. Glad to hear he had a good bedside manner. Looking forward to hearing about how your surgery goes. Ideally I'd like to have mine sometime in July if insurance approves quick enough. How far out was it before office was able to fit you into surgical schedule? And what kind of pre-op diet is he requiring? ( we didn't get to that part yet) Thanks so much for answering my questions!
  11. JessicaAnn- how was your surgery? I'm hoping to have my surgery with Dr.angstadt also. Working on my last few items so that they can submit to my insurance company. Just wondering how yours went. Thanks
