  1. Finally home from the holiday travels. After not having a scale for a week, I was a bit worried. But, down almost a pound to 196.6 : ) Losing weight over Thanksgiving may be a first for me.
  2. Today's weight = 197.4. Down 1.2 lbs and at my Thanksgiving goal! Just hoping to maintain through next week, as I'll be on vacation with the in-laws all week.

  8. -2.8 this week Last week: 207.8 This week 205.0 Didn't make goal, but still 11 lbs lighter than the 1st week : ) Height: 5' 4'' HW: 256 SW: 227 CW: 206
  9. Lost 2.6 lbs this week! Last week 210.4 This week 207.8 Height: 5' 4'' HW: 256 SW: 227 CW: 208.8
  10. This week has been crazy. I went back to work after being off for 6 weeks. That was much harder than I expected. I'm on light duty for 2 weeks, with a lifting max of 35lbs. (I have a very physical job.) But man, 12 hours on night shift was HARD. Did not expect to be so tired, when I had felt pretty good over the last couple of weeks. Very happy I only had to do 3 shifts this week. But, after taking yesterday to recover from my work rotation, I feel pretty great. I even went to Zumba for the first time since surgery. And bonus, my workout clothes are too big : ) Very proud of myself this week. I survived. I ate on plan. I got stronger. I can do this! Height: 5' 4'' HW: 256 SW: 227 CW: 212.4
  11. At about 5 weeks out, I enjoyed some nigiri without the rice. It was delicious and well tolerated. At the place we go, I can order a few pieces of nigiri, but sashimi is only sold by the large platter. So I just order the nigiri since I'm not a fan of leftover sushi. Height: 5' 4'' HW: 256 SW: 227 CW: 212.4
  12. -1.6 this week. 212 down to 210.4
  13. My doctor only has a 3 day purée/soft food stage starting at day 10 , then it's just soft foods until day 45. I just gradually increased the amount if texture in the food I was eating and had no problems. Just take it slow and add in new foods one at a time. Height: 5' 4'' HW: 256 SW: 227 CW: 212.4
  14. I'm in school part time - but doing online classes. One thing I struggled with for the 1st ~3 weeks post op was mental clarity. It was like a fog settled over my brain and everything just took longer than normal. It was much more difficult to focus, so studying was almost impossible. I'm not sure how typical this is, but I definitely wasn't expecting it. I thought I could catch up on everything by the end of the week (surgery was on Tuesday). It took me almost a week and a half more to get fully caught up. Height: 5' 4'' HW: 256 SW: 227 CW: 212.4
  15. Went to my 1 month post appointment Tuesday. Heeling fine and getting my energy back. I'm down 15 lbs post op (total of 44lbs since starting my 6 month diet). Very excited that I've dropped 2 pant sizes and 1 shirt size since surgery. Height: 5' 4'' HW: 256 SW: 227 CW: 216
  16. 215 last week, 212.4 this week. -2.6lbs! Fingers crossed for 210 or less next week : )
  17. My first visit didn't count. I wish it would have, but since its 6 months of supervised dieting, my first visit was day 0. Height: 5' 4'' HW: 256 SW: 227 CW: 216
  18. An ice pack can help with the itching too. At 3 1/2 weeks post op, I'm itchy everywhere. This dry skin is maddening. Eczema lotion is a lifesaver right now.
  19. My surgeon's goal was to get up to drinking 8oz an hour by the 3rd day post op. Just be sure you're taking sips and not gulps. As your stomach heels, you'll get more sensation- and that can mean pain if you're drinking too fast. Height: 5' 4'' HW: 256 SW: 227 CW: 216
  20. 215.0 today Loss of a little over a pound. Height: 5' 4'' HW: 256 SW: 227 CW: 216

I have that problem too. Getting 1 size bigger definitely helps.
  22. Last week: 216.4 This week 216.2 Not what I was hoping for, but better than going the other way. Height: 5' 4'' HW: 256 SW: 227 CW: 216
  23. I've been trying out a tone of new recipes for meatballs from http://www.ibreatheimhungry.com/ It's a low carb/ gluten-free blog. Lots of flavor in all the recipes I've tried so far.
