  1. You should be following your doctors plan. Did you meet with a nutritionist? Ice cream is not allowed. I had surgery one day ahead of you amd i can have creamed soups as long as they are strained, sf jello oatmeal, sf popscicles, protein shakes, drinkable yogurt. Call your doctor if your not clear on what is acceptable. The last thing you want is to tear ur sleeve.
  2. Are dill pickles allowed during preop diet?
  3. I'm on all protein shakes for fourteen days. Today is my fourth. I just wish i could have chicken broth or something salty.
  4. I'm on my 4th day of preop and have lost five pounds. My doctor didn't mention anything about watching my carbs, just protein and calories.
  5. What is spike?
  6. I was shopping with my nine year old daughter and remembered to look for a small pillow. She asked why i needed such a small pillow. So i explained. She replied "mommy, you can take Rosie with you she always makes me feel better". I smiled and left the pillow behind. Rosie is her stuffed teddy bear that she has slept with since she was two.
  7. I am on a emotional roller coaster!! Everything makes me cry. I watched a cartoon with my children and cried at the silliest of things.
  8. I'm also set for July 17th. I start my preop diet on the 2nd. Believe it our not I'm excited about getting started.
  9. I called my nut today with this same question.. My taste buds prefer the salty than the sweet. I was told to stay away from the Soups because of the salt used in them. However, I suffer from hypertension. It may be different for you.
  10. Madeline... We will have twin surgery dates! I am also ready for this surgery .
  11. I just got my surgery saute of July 16. The excitement is setting in.
