    The doubting game begins :/

Hi Tc and welcome to the newbies bench hopefully very soon we will be on the sleevers bench lol, thats great that you are on your way to your new healthy life =) one of the things that was worrying me was copay for insurance plus a fee that the hospital charges for the NUT program that they offer for lifetime and thank God i got a call today and everything is getting paid for so thats 1 less worry. Tommorow i'll be on my way to start with my appointments i know tonight i won't be able to sleep because of the excitement lol, hopefully the excitement stay this high throughout my journey, i have never considered wls before until i found out this year i had pcos although i suspected it for many years, when my doctor told me my symptoms were pretty bad and that i should consider wls i got scared at first, but then it started sinking in and i know its what i want, oh and my mother in law will be having wls as well around the same time as me atleast i'll have someone close to me that is going through the same thing and hopefully that can be of good support for each other. Please keep us posted of your surgery date and how everything goes, i'll do the same we can all support each other Congrats and Good Luck on your journey!

  11. Hi i am new to this forum and wls journey i am wondering if there is anyone here that may have had their surgery at Brigham and Womens Hospital here in Boston Massachusetts with Dr Shikora or any surgeon from that practice? Today is my 2 hour wls informational surgery and i kinda want to know what i should expect from today on and how long the process takes. I appreciate any feedback =)
  12. my pcp just recommended me to start the process for wls but i am concerned about getting approved i have harvard pilgrim for insurance and my pcp reffered me over bcuz i have pcos i am 5'2" at 240 lbs unable to loose any weight for many years i am also starting to have problems with my blood pressure it has been slightly high for the past 3 weeks i have urinary incontinence, and problems with my knees and acillis tendons (not sure of spelling) due to overweight my pcp said i was a perfect candidate for wls and recommended the sleeve my question is can i get approved with just these conditions or does it have to be like a bigger medical condition?
  13. Thanks Pixie Dust! I did call them already but all i was told was that harvard pilgrim does cover it as long as its for medical reason and that i have a copay
