I remember what this was like! I was about 6 weeks post op and traveled 1500 miles and was driven crazy by every food billboard and restaurant across this country! It drove me almost insane...................The good news this will pass and eventually they won't even bother you. Hang in there!

You are feeling the same way most of us have felt. It is totally normal and I would think it strange if you didn't have those feelings! Hang in there your new life is just around the corner and I promise you it is wonderful!! Best of wishes!!

Have you looked up the 5/2 diet on the forums? A lot of people have done that and have found success. Unfortunately after you reach the 6 month mark the loss does slow down but it shouldn't stop. I have lost 109 pounds and am losing about a pound a week now. My 1 year is June 7th but you have done a great job so far and I am sure you can keep losing. If you can't find it on the forums google it...............you will find it that way. Go luck to you!!

I was a self pay and went to Dr. Shillingford in Boca Raton, FL. I paid 10,500 which was all inclusive!

I really don't miss any of them because I still go to them but now I make much wiser choices and completely stay away from the carbs. I order veggies instead of the starch sides such as potatoes. I will say that some of the places that I used to love such as Cracker Barrel I frequent less because they really tempt the soul!

I do the same thing. I drink 1 Protein shake in the morning but it is split up several hours apart from each other. I drink the chocolate Premier Protein drinks. I love them in my coffee! I take 1 cup of coffee and and half of the drink along with some caramel macchiato sugar free Creamer to it and it is really really good! It replaces the need for sweets every time!

As you have read you are definitely not alone! If you didn't have these emotions I would wonder why! It is a huge decision to make and a life altering surgery. With that said I was so positive that it was the right decision for me and still had all of the same fears and questions you are going through. It definitely was the right thing for me to do and I have never looked back! It has completely changed my life and you will also!! Good luck with your journey!!

How is the flavor? I saw these and will try them if the ones that I ordered are not good.

That is what I thought. I have been using the chewable Bariatric Advantage ones but in my complacency I didn't realize they were only 250mg and I only had 2 a day. Uggghhhhhh! So, today I also realized they have 3 carbs per square and you would need 6 of those a day which would be 18 carbs......No Thanks!! So, I ordered the chewable tablet mint ones and I hope they aren't to bad and they are 500mg each.
What is brand is everyone using and were they recommended by your surgeon or NUT?

I think I have not been taking enough Calcium and I want to know what you all are taking. I have been taking 500mg a day but I think I should be taking 1500. How much are you all taking?

I have to agree with all of these responses. I too like to be informed and subscribe to the idea that I am not going to fool with possibly stretching my sleeve. If you are filling it too much then you are overeating and isn't that what we were supposed to stop doing? I did speak to my surgeon before my sleeve was done and he to said that you can stretch it but it would require as stated above chronic overeating. When your stomach is reduced in size they remove most of the part that stretches so it is never going to get to the previous size. I am almost one year post op and still can't go beyond 6 ounces maybe 8 on an extremely rare day.

Losing 126 pounds in 7 months is nothing to sneeze at!! You have done fantastic but you will notice after the 6 month mark that there is a slowing of the weight loss but it does continue you just have to make sure you are putting in the work for it. You have to watch your calories especially the carbs and start or continue working out. I am just under a year and have lost 103 pounds and am still losing about a pound a week. It is slow now but it is definitely coming off and I am still losing inches. Keep up the great work!!

Definitely try laying on your side with a pillow propping up your stomach. Put the pillow semi under your side so your stomach is resting there. You shouldn't have any pressure from doing it this way. I also take 2 colace every day to help with the Constipation issues. Best of luck to you!
