I've always been the cute, chubby, funny girl. When the chubby turned to just plain fat...it was time to do something! I have been on every diet there is and have lost a lot of weight. Unfortunately, I gained more than I lost...many times. I had been looking into WLS for a couple of years, but was afraid of something going wrong. When a friend of mine had it done, it gave me the courage to start looking into it more. I called my surgeon's office for an appointment and was given an appointment for the following week. I was fully expecting to do the 6 month supervised weight loss program, etc. I was shocked when I was told the only thing I needed to do for insurance requirements was to meet with the nutritionist and psychologist. I was even more shocked when I got appointments with them within 1 week of meeting with my surgeon. My insurance approved me within 3 days and my surgery was scheduled within a month of my first visit to the surgeon. I do workout with a trainer 4 days a week and work out at another gym 2 days a week. I love my new life!
