Congrats everyone!! I was sleeved on 6/3. Down 12 lbs during the 2 week pre-op. As of Thursday, I was down 36 lbs. total!!

I'm 3 weeks out on Monday. Been feeling awesome!!! Yesterday I drove about 4.5 hours to a family reunion. Yesterday I had 2 eggs, a protein shake, tomato basil soup and some V-8. The hotel room was really cold over night and when I stood up this morning I thought I might fall over! I've been up for a couple hours now and still haven't quite shaked it....my mother thinks its because I didn't get enough protein yesterday. I had a protein shake earlier and I'm working on an egg now. Any thoughts on my dizziness?

Thanks guys! I'm not on any blood pressure meds but I wonder if my bp is dropping. Lots of old people at the family reunion surely one of them will have a blood pressure tester. Still not feeling great but trying to push through!

All I can tell you is it WILL get better!!! Just keep at it!!! I had my sleeve done on the 3rd and the first few days were the worst!!! But it seems like every day gets better. Just keep trying... I burped ALL the time and that seemed to help me! Good luck!! This time will pass!

Also it could be the scale... Sometimes they vary. The only way to really know is to have weighed on that scale before surgery.... Especially since you said it was an old scale. Good luck!!!

I was on hydrocodone. It made me so sleepy. I took it every 4 hours except during the night for the 1st day and a half after I got home and then had one dose at night the next 2 nights. I'm 9 days post op and haven't had any pain mess since day 4.

I was sleeved on 6/5. Did pain meds pretty much every 4 hours on Tuesday and Wednesday. Only had one dose on Thursday and Friday and nothing yesterday. This evening I'm really hurting... It's pulling and my lower back muscles are hurting. Is this normal? Is it ok to take pain meds again?

Ok so I should've known as I was taking drinks that it was too fast but I guess I wasn't paying attention I don't feel like throwing up but I just keep burping and it feels like its right at the bottom of my throat anything I can do to alleviate this? Btw had my sleeve done on June 3rd.

I would say to just make an appearance. Today is my 5th day since surgery and I made a quick trip to GNC, then drove for about an hour and a half... And planning on going to the store later. Just do what you feel like you can! Btw... Haven't had pain meds since yesterday morning so driving was ok

I had surgery Monday and came home Tuesday. Slept most of Tuesday. Yesterday was better. Awake more and up and moving. Today has been the best so far! Just started with protein shake! I've been up and walking every 30 mins or so!

So this is somewhat related, but did anyone have a kind of dent on their tummy where the big incision is??

Exact same thing for me!!! I think it may be just the stomach waking up!!! I've had 2 popcicles today with no problems the water is not as easy... And the pain meds are VERY hard to get down.... Just keep pushing on... That's what I'm doing!!

I feel ya wpierce!! I had mine on Monday too!! The gas pains weren't too bad but the nausea up until just a few hours ago was horrible!!! AND getting the pain meds down is so hard!! I've had 2 Popsicles and 5-6 oz of water today so far.... I'm just trying to keep it up!!

Ok, so I'm quite sure this has been covered over and over, but honestly, I don't feel like going throug a bunch of old threads. Here's the deal. I had surgery on Monday. Came home yesterday about 2pm. I'm just continously nauseus. I'm taking the nasuea pill every 4 hours and have some kind of patch behind my ear. They just dont seem to help. I keep having episodes where I feel like I'm going to throw up, but its just spit and phlem (Sorry TMI). BUT when I do that it makes me burp and feel a little better. I'm walking a lot but that really doesn't seem to help either. I feel like I"m SO thirsty and its all that I can do to not take a huge drink of water. PLEASE tell me this is normal and it will end soon!!

I'm heading to the hospital in about an hour!!! Surgery at 10:15. So nervous, so excited... It's really surreal!!!

I have to be at the hospital at 7:15 in the morning!! I'm sooo nervous about the surgery itself! I've only been in the hospital once and it was having my daughter. I'm not worried about learning to eat afterward.... Actually looking forward to that. Prayers for everyone having their surgery tomorrow!!
