  1. Hello everyone!! It has been a while since I have been here, but it's good to be back. I have been banded for 2 years and 3 months. I originally lost 110 lbs. I became Pregnant in April of '06 and I have a beautiful 3 1/2 month old daughter. Well during my pregnancy, I had almost all of my fill removed(I WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!!!), and I gained 60 lbs during my pregnancy. I have lost 25 lbs, but I have been at a stand still for the last month. I don't know what to do. I lost my weight pretty quickly the first time around, but now I can't seem to get going. My band is filled pretty tight, but the weight just isn't coming off...I really need to get this weight off!! Does anyone have any experience with having a baby and not being able to lose the weight. Any input would be helpful. :)

    Thanks.

  2. Hi Cassie,

I went to the Bariatric Surgery Center of Dallas @ Presby Dallas. The doctor's name is James Davidson. They are wonderful there. I have had my band a little over eight months and I have lost 81 lbs. I don't have BCBS, but a good friend of mine has that insurance and it was covered for her.

The number to the center is 214-265-SLIM

    Website is www.bscdallas.com

I am here if you have questions, have a wonderful day!!

  3. Hello,

My name is Lillie. I have been a member for about eight months. I was banded in February and I have lost 80 lbs. My husband and I want to start having kids really soon. Does anyone have any views or experience on this? I want to get pregnant maybe by the end of the year. Is this good or not? I have talked to my doctor, but would like to hear first hand experience if possible. Thanks!!

  4. Do you have a 4cc band or a 14cc band. I have never heard of one that holds that much....just wondering. If if only holds 4 ccs, you should feel good restriction once you start eating more solid foods.

  5. Hi Nickie, I have a 9.75 band as well. It acutally holds 5 cc's. I have over 3 cc's in my band and have pretty good restriction. I am able to eat anything I want. I have not had any problems with any type of food. It is possible that you won't either. But if you feel you don't have enough then I would say have them add some more. Hope this helps.

  6. Hello, I went to Dr. Davisdon at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. www.bscdallas.comMy insurance covered my procedure, but he does take self pay. He is $15,500 for unlimited follow up and the fills are $100.00 w/flouro. The surgery center was wonderful and they take really good care of you. They are really quick about getting you in and out. Please visit the website. There is a lot of good information on there.
