    hair loss

I had my sleeve may 20th and in the past three weeks my hair has really been falling out. I have a lot of hair so I'm hoping it won't be to bad, and everything I'm reading says it should only last up to 3 months. I'm hoping for sooner! Good luck

    Post op pain

The pain does get better. It took me about 4 days before it started to get easier to get up and down by myself without much pain. As far as sleeping on my stomach and turning over on my side in bed that was about day 7, without any pain hardly. As far as your protein, get as much in as you can, this helps your body heal. Try watering down your protein drink to help it go down easier. I drink half of mine and freeze the other half and eat it like 3hrs later. I do this with both of mine. It'll get easier soon, the first week is tough.
  4. I was also sleeved Monday may 20th. My first 3 days were painful but everyday since then has been getting better. Off all pain meds, sleeping on my stomach and side again with no pain, and able to get all my protein in most days. Only my large incision site is a little tender and i can feel the scare tissue If i touch it but its not painful. im a very active person so im trying to relax and take a break as much as i can, to heal faster. It's amazing this new life we've all given ourselves. I'm excited about the progress and what the future has for all of us.

    Crystal light

I have been drinking the Crystal light brand Hawiian Punch and the pink lemonade, haven't had any trouble with either. But everyone is a little different. I'm only 7 days out post op right now. I stated drinking crystal light about 4 days post op.
  6. For this those of you out there that are struggling to get your Protein in, here are some options for you. I am still on my liquid diet because I'm only 7 days post op right now. The shake I use is Bariatric Advantage brand, the chocolate flavor is delicious. It has 27g of protein, 160 cal, 2g fat, 0.5g sugar, 8g carbs, 5g Fiber. I buy this from my surgeons office but I'm sure it's available online. I mix my shake with HEB grocery brand fat free Mootopia milk, that's an extra 12g of protein, 90 cal, 0g fat, 6g sugar, 6 carbs. If you don't have an HEB grocery store I'm sure there's another brand out there, my surgeon suggested this one to me. So my shake total is 39g protein. Since I'm right out of surgery is hard for me to drink the whole thing at once so I freeze half of it and eat it like ice cream a couple hours later. Yummy! I have two of those shakes a day 71g protein. Another option I found is Isonatural pure whey Protein powder, which one scoop has 28g of protein. I bought this at a health food store. This is a flavor less protein powder that can be added to Soups, crystal light, etc. I usually do only a half of a scoop in my drinks or Soup. Which gives me an extra 14g of protein. So with my shakes and extra protein in my drink that brings my protein to 85g of protein for a day. My surgeon wants me to shoot for 80g of protein a day, and 64oz of liquid( Water, crystal light, or un caffeinated tea). Hope this helps for anyone who is having trouble getting there protein in or needs new options.
  7. You look great! That's awesome
  8. I was sleeved on Monday May 20th in San Antonio and then rode home to CC on Tuesday night. The first 3 days were really tough getting up and down, but each day is getting easier. 6 days out now and starting to feel much more normal. Not hungry but sick of all liquids, ready for some food and different flavors. Back hurts I guess from sleeping on it and maybe some trapped gas too. Decided to stop taking pain mess for now and blessed to not have many problems. I still can't believe I've done this, it was a huge step! I'm so excited to start this new weight loss journey!
  9. Wow that's awesome! You're very inspiring, I was just sleeved May 20th (6 days ago) and I'm looking forward to success like you. Keep up the great work
