    Does it ever go away?

For me as soon as I came out of surgery food was the last thing I wanted. I was thirsty!! But almost everyone I talked to said you won't be hungry after surgery and I thought no way of course ill be hungry but I wasn't. I am 18 days post op and still don't really want food. It'll get so much easier!! The hard part is getting to your surgery!! Good luck on your surgery and new life!!

    Autoimmune Issues and VSG?

Hey fibromyalgia is not fun either. I have both RA and fibro. I can tolerate my RA pain but when my fibro is bad I have a hard time. I've also never found a medication that has helped My RA so I rely on just knowing what bothers me and working out, which is hard to do with RA.

    Autoimmune Issues and VSG?

I never had to go off my folic acid, but I did just to be safe. I was only off that a week prior to surgery still off it now,

    Autoimmune Issues and VSG?

My doctor said I could take Tylenol, but to me Tylenol doesn't do crap so I just rested when I needed too and didn't push myself too hard. Sorry that's not much of a help. You can talk to your surgeon or your rheumatologist and they may suggest some other stuff.

    Autoimmune Issues and VSG?

Good! That makes me feel better. I'm 22 and was diagnosed at 14, but suffered with it since 2nd grade (labs didn't show it). I have always hated ring overweight, but my main goal is to get my RA under control. My doctors tell me I pretty much have no chance of remission except during pregnancy. I want to prove them wrong. I want to know what it's like to wake up and feel good!!

auto immune disorders and the sleeve

I have rheumatoid arthritis. I was sleeved may 22 and I have been off my meds for 4 months now and I feel wonderful! It sucked being off the meds pre-op but as soon as I HDTV the surgery I felt fantastic. I don't know how long I'll feel this good, but for now I will stay off my meds and enjoy every minute of it. The surgery was the best decision of my life. I know I am not far along, but I know it will be. The main reason I got it, was in hopes of helping my RA. Less weight on my joints=feeling better hope this helps!!
  13. I hope your levels are down, and you keep feeling great!!! Also, congrats on 51 lbs lost!!!

    Post-op vitamins

    Okay thank you
  15. Thats fantastic! Lupus is very similar to RA. I hope I'm able to stay off mine for awhile atleast. I haven't talked to my rheumatologists though. I should probably let her know what's going on. I feel she would suggest I take the medicine as a precaution, which I'd rather hold off on because of the side effects.

    Post-op vitamins

Thanks ill look into those too. To take the silver is that because you are over 50 or just better for people after bariatric surgery?
  17. I'm not embarrassed about it, but like you I think people will think I took the easy way out. I've only told close friends, family, and coworkers

    BSN synthra-6 isolate?

Regular syntha-6. I also found if I think it's too sweet to add decaf coffee to it
