  1. That's funny I didn't panic until I scooted on the operating table from the transport bed luckily the Or Nurse Nancy recognized that I was about to bolt outta there, she put her hand on my chest and said I know what your about to do, but do you really want to back out now? She really calmed me down and gave me the courage to lie there. When I regained consciousness she was right there saying see all done welcome to your new life journey or (something like that I was still high as hell) LOL
  2. I was sleeved last Monday October 14th I'm now 5 days post op. Can't wait to start the puree phase this Monday.

  4. After weighing myself today i am proud to say I am down 78 lbs since May 10, 2013. Since the surgery on 10/14/13 i'm losing about 1.5 to 2lbs per day. Increible!
  5. 5th day post op no much gas pain anymore, but the soreness on my right side near the larger incision still aches enough that I taking the pain meds once a day hopefully I won't need the pain meds by Monday which will be 1 week to the the I was sleeved.
  6. Each day has been getting better than the previous day. I don't have the gas pains as much, but every time I eat or sip something my new stomach growls at me with great volume! Today I pushed myself a lil too much by walking with my dog so I'm exhausted!
  7. Thanks for all the encouragement. The cramping has not been as intense today as it was yesterday, but it has been a challenge to get down 1 shake & one 16oz bottle of water taken in 1oz shots every 20mins. I still have another 14.5oz shake and another bottle of water to try and get down today it's tough.
  8. I'm 2 days post op, day one was horrible cramping and cold chills all day and most of the night. Even with the symptoms the backup surgeon told me this was just my body getting use to the new anatomy (the sleeve) I was discharged around 8:30pm last night. Please tell things will get better? Suffering!
  9. Surgery went well in my room, pain level 4 to 5.
  10. All checked in surgery is in 2hrs. Fired up ready to go!
  11. last day of pre sleeved was wonderful. I have to be at the hospital at 5:40am eastern for my surgery at 7:40am, so off to bed I go I'll wake up 10 mis before midnight and down me a couple of glasses of water. He he he. Thanks for everyone's support getting me through the pre op phase. BRING IT ON! As Miss Patti LaBelle sang "its a New Day!"
  12. Less than 24hrs left b4 surgery! I think I'll wash & detail my car for the 3rd time again this weekend.
  13. 2 days left before surgery! I can't find enough things in my home are car to clean! Well, off to the gym and a long walk I go.

  15. Since my surgery is on Monday I had the great idea to go to a casino with my partner to play my favorite slot machine for awhile not thinking I'm on a liquid diet I FORGOT MY PROTEIN SHAKES AT HOME ARRRGH!
  16. my dietitian allows coffee with no more than 6oz of nonfat milk per day.
  17. 15 pounds & counting.

  19. Seeing my PCP now for the surgery certification and just received AWESOME news. Weight at first visit with on May 10, 2013 450lbs Weight today October 10, 2013 390.6lbs Woooooohoooooooo!

  22. I will definitely bring my bipap machine with me. Needless to say I want everything to go smoothly.
  23. I'm having surgery on Monday October 14th and would like any advice from those who have used a cpap right after surgery.
  24. My surgery date Monday October 14th is a few days away. Lawd give me the strength! ????
