Surgery on Friday, drove and hour and half to work on Tuesday.

3 weeks and 2 days, 15 lbs lost, still on full liquids until Friday feeling great though except for low energy.

I went last night at 3 weeks and 1 day post op and my doc was fine with it .. The hardest part was being around all the smells of the amusement park food and still being on liquids.

I weigh everyday, always have probably always will. If the scale is up I can adjust for it that day. I would rather catch it at one or two pounds than 5 or more.

4 weeks for me, it's considered mushy.

Buckeyefan, were you sleeved by Dr. Watkins ?

Food at 3 weeks out !?!? I'm on 4 weeks of liquid, pickles would be heavenly but I would settle for anything I can chew !! One more week of this then on to 4 weeks of mushy

My doc said I'm good 4 weeks out to drink alcohol.

My requirement per my surgeon is 40 g per day. Your requirement should go down as your weight decreases. I currently weigh 160.

Just wondering if I haven't had issues yet, am I in the clear ?

I had the same experience, surgery was a breeze and I went back to work after only 3 days off. I'm 2 weeks 4 days today and I still feel great except I am sick to death of creamy soups and I want real food !!!! Unfortunately I have a week and a half of liquids left then on to 4 weeks of mushy and 4 weeks of soft. I say just be thankful and enjoy it

I had surgery Friday and went back Tuesday with no problems, just a little sore and tired of coarse.

Your protein needs go down as your weight does so it gets easier over time.

I was Sleeved the 20th a revision from Lapband, so far everything is great except Iv had a few breakdowns over not being able to eat. I still have 2 more weeks before mushy I feel great and went back to work after 3 days off. I'm only required 40 g of protein and for the first time ever I'm actually taking all my vitamins. Iv lost 14 lbs so I'm 15 lbs from goal but I know the less to lose the harder so I'm in no hurry. I love hearing how others sleeved the same month are doing so please keep the stories coming !!

Thank you, luckily I have a great husband who talked me through it and as the previous post mentioned I feel crazy about it too and laugh after but it seriously is hard to do liquids only for so long...

I was laying on my back first night home but moving on my side took a few days and even then I supported my belly with a firm couch pillow.

I find it Interesting everyone is so different, I'm wondering what your post op requirements were and your surgeons stats for leaks? I'm 4 weeks of anything I can get through a straw, 4 weeks mushy and 4 weeks soft then normal eating, and my surgeon has never had a leak.

may i ask why are you throwing up after you eat ? I'm only 2 weeks out but I didn't think this was common ?
