  1. I am so sorry you are going through all of this. Hang in there. Have you talked with the surgeon about the issues you are having with his staff and paperwork? If not I would ASAP. Least us know how it turns out.
  2. Update.... Sleeved 7/1. SW: 280 CW: 189.4 Celebrated 90 lbs lost on my 5 month surgiversary. :-D Weight loss is beginning to slow down, I hope that means my hair will be back soon.
  3. I have a friend who used Dr. Terriccina for her lap band many years ago. She really likes him.
  4. I was sleeved July 1. Within 2 weeks I noticed that went I sat on the toilet my legs would get tingly. Now I get the tingling when I sit on the floor, put my feet up on a chair, etc. It will still randomly happen on the toilet too . My doc says that I probably have a nerve that lost its cushioning due to the loss of fat. Has anyone else been through this? If so is this permanent ?
  5. I was in the same boat. I didn't drop a size until around 30 or more lbs. I think I was just stuffing myself into my size 20 pants!
  6. Are you still having this problem? I was sleeved on July 1 and still am having tingling in my legs
  7. I was sleeved July 1 and I am down 49 lbs from my highest weight (1 week preop). Probably around 39 lbs since surgery.
  8. I was outpatient as most of Dr Clark's patient's are. I had issues after surgery and they didn't try to push me out. I left around 5 pm and I was the first surgery for that day.
  9. Thank you! I'm glad I'm not the only one.
  10. This might be TMI but I'm too embarrassed to call and ask my male doctor. I am 3 1/2 weeks out from my surgery and have lost about 35 lbs. The past week I have had a huge increase in vaginal discharge. It is like the kind you get right before ovulation. Has anyone else experienced this?
  11. I was sleeved July 1 and went home the same day. Surgery was at 7:15 am and I left at 5:00 pm. They would have had me leave earlier but I had a bad reaction to anesthesia and was having oxygen issues.
  12. I am a July 1st sleever as well!!
  13. July 1st here as well. I am excited and nervous all at the same time. Here's to thinner selves
  14. I also am getting sleeved by Dr. Clark. My date is July 1. I am loving his Weight Management University. I hope it really helps with keeping the weight off. What was your impression/experience with it Papa Jack?
  15. I have been trying to decide whether I am going to make it FB official. I don't think I can deal with people's comments. I told my dad last month and he didn't have anything nice to say about it. It's kind of turned me off from sharing with others.
  16. I really hope we can work through all of this, surgery and all, because I do love him. He seems so onboard sometimes and then later I get "I am who I am, and I'm not going to change".... I'm not sure if it is the truth, or something he is just saying to be hurtful.
  17. The issue of the non-affection has been going on for much longer than I have even been considering surgery. And this is the second time he has been diagnosed with depression (the first time being before we were together). He has never been an overly affectionate person, but it has been a lot worse this past year or so. Your post doesn't sound overly harsh, I think I take criticism very well. :-) I guess I'm really hoping that if I loose a bunch of weight he will show more interest in me again, and being with us as a family. It gets old doing everything "as a family" but he is never with us, and if he is, he is emotionally distant.
  18. I will start this off by saying that my marriage is rocky, even on it's best day. I am scheduled to be sleeved in early July. Both hubby and I are very overweight. He talks about how he doesn't need surgery and he can do it on his own, which I respect. I know I need this tool in order to save my life. He has been less than supportive on my decision for the surgery. He didn't attend the weight loss seminar, and only went to my 1st doctor appointment because I was persistent that he goes. He can't get off of work to go with me to my orientation class that is supposed to outline every detail of pre-and post op. He is only planning on taking off the day of my surgery and even that is questionable on a day to day basis (my mom will come the day after), but other than that, I will be on my own. Our sex life is non-existent since our baby has been born 15 months ago (sorry if it's TMI). I BEG for affection/attention/sex and get nothing. I when I try to kiss him he turns his head a lot, or gives me a kiss off the side of his mouth. We do attend counseling but are in the early months of it. They have diagnosed him with anxiety and depression but he has yet to get on medicine for it. I guess my question is, has anyone else been in this situation? I am scared that when I begin to loose weight and get a little attention from another man that I may give in to temptation. I have tried to have frank conversations with him about how I NEED affection: a hug, kiss, holding of the hand, sex, etc... once in a while, but nothing changes. It's so incredibly lonely having to do everything by yourself that should be family outings. I hope someone has some words of wisdom for me! I guess I should mention that we have been married for 4 years, together for 6 years. Any advice?
  19. I chose that date because my office is closed on the 4th and 5th so I am hoping to only have to take off 3 days from work. I hope we can meet too!
  20. I am also in Hampton and getting sleeved by Dr. Clark on July 1!
  21. Who is doing your surgery? I am scheduled July 1 with Dr. Clark.
