  1. You are my inspiration. I am going to take your idea and run with it. I don't know if I can do whole week but I'm going to finish up this work week Monday through Friday having a liquid lunch breakfast and lunch and hopefully a very small dinner. I need to get back on track of soon. I had my surgery on May 7 and I have lost 60 pounds almost to 60 pound but I have been at the same weight from us two weeks. I don't think it's a stall. I think it's very poor choices and eating. So I need to jumpstart my weight loss and get back on track. So thank you for bringing this up and I hope to join you in losers bracket again. Bless you.

Well good luck to you! And thank you so much for your kind words. Please keep me posted on how it's going. I'm on day 2 and so far so good. I feel so much better all ready.

  2. I had surgery last June. I am down 74 lbs. I was doing very well but an now at a stand still. I have been at a 74-78 lb loss for 3 months now. I know what I need to do but I just can't seem to do it. My goal is to do the pre surgery liquid diet this week to get me back on track. I am hoping some of you will hold me accountable lol. I am happy with my progress but know I can do better .

  3. My surgery is 06/11 and my pre op instructions were Water and yogurt 3 days before surgery. You guys have it way harder than I will... I guess I'm kinda worried if my diet isn't too "light"?

Either way its hard. I'm done with day one and it wasn't that bad .

  4. Hi fellow Floridians ! I'm from SW Florida. I got a band to sleeve revision on 5/4/12. Did great on pre-op diet and first two weeks after surgery I lost like crazy' date=' but unfortunately have been stalled for two weeks! I'm trying to be patient and let my body do it's thing, but dang it's hard. I've followed my doctor's diet guidelines and increased my excercise so not sure what else to try. I'm off mushies now and started fish and chicken yesterday so I'm hoping that will make a difference. Nice to be on this journey with all of you <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />[/quote']

Did you go to Dr. Bass? I will be sleeved June 10. How are you doing?

  5. Hi guys I am also new to this group. I'm going to have the sleeve on June 4th' date=' I am super excited! Really nervous! Anxious, happy! All of the above! its very nice having people who are going through the same experience to talk to and for support. I'm sure I'll need it! I just graduated nursing school..I saw that some of you were nurses! Very cool. Good luck to all, i hope to gain some advice and encouragement from the group. thanks for listening! <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />[/quote']

Welcome and congrats on graduating! This site has eased so many fears, so glad I found it. Look forward to seeing your progress and helping each other through this process :)

  6. Hi Domini!! I am getting sleeved June 10th also! And I am also a nurse. I am so nervous and so excited all at the same time! I can't wait for the next step in our journey!

Well hello! Looks like we will be on the same journey! I had my meeting with my surgeon today and will start my liquid diet on 6/3. I feel exactly the same super excited but also very nervous! We will need to keep in touch and motivate each other ???? btw I lover your username ????????????

  7. For me' date=' they are "mouth sweats" so far. My mouth totally fills with saliva and I can't swallow it. The more I spit, the thicker and stringier it comes until I burp and the liquid goes down. (Still in liquid phase.).

Nasty and I can't imagine facing that in a restaurant. I heave as if I am going to vomit, too. It happens when I try to swallow more than 1/2 ounce of liquid at a time.[/quote']

Thanks! Not looking forward to that ????

  8. ...and I just had the slimies and dry heaves...yeah...pasta was not a good idea. Looks like there is something my sleeve doesn't like.

Can you please tell me what the slimies are? I have seen it in several posts and am curious. Getting surgery on June 10

  9. I have been in the work situation where co-workers are eating cookies' date=' cupcakes, etc. so I tried a little taste. I found that the sugary stuff makes me feel sick but since that's my addiction I keep trying things here and there. LOL! Perhaps you could make yourself some healthy, portable treats to bring with you. I'm sure you can find some good recipes on the food and Nutrition forum here. I also suspect that stress from your workplace is a factor as you probably coped with it in the past by eating. I certainly did that. So now maybe you can think of other ways to cope with work stress that doesn't involve food. It ain't easy but you can do it! I think our head-hunger will probably always be an issue. But you wouldn't have gotten this far without determination.

    pre-surgery weight 325; surgery date 2/28/2013; surgery weight 307; 8 weeks past-op weight 281.4[/quote']

Thanks a lot! I am very lucky to have very supportive co workers who I know will do every thing they can to keep me in the right path. I'm getting so excited for surgery

  10. Hi Domini! Welcome from a fellow newbie. My surgery will be June 4th and I'm SO EXCITED. I am thoroughly enjoying this forum and support group. You're gonna love it!
