    Going Crackers?

I have found Parmesan cheese crisps. They are delicious, crunchy and made totally of cheese. They are 80 cal, 6 grams of protein in 1 serving (3 good sized crackers. I love them with tuna salad. I think they sell them at whole foods but I buy them online. They are made by "kitchen table bakers", I think is the name

    Bridesmaid dress question

I was sleeved 7/1 and getting married 9/1. I got my seamstress on board before surgery and she's doing most of the alterations last minute. I tried it on on Friday and she's got to take in 3 inches already.
  4. Maybe talk to your doc about adding in a probiotic. My nut told us pre-op it was recommended, but not a required supplement
  5. I'm almost 4 weeks out and been suffering from the same thing. Nausea was bad up until 2 days ago. Before then I was nauseous all day long. My doctor said he wasn't concerned as long as I was able to get in my Protein, liquids, and supplements (which I can). He said for some reason sleevers sometimes have a lot of nausea for a time and then it just goes away. He also increased my Prilosec dose to twice a day instead of once. I'm hoping the nausea is gone for good but we will see. I do have zofran that I take for it and it helps. Energy levels are crap too. Went back to work last week and don't think I made it thru an entre day. You're not alone!

    Awesome NSV!!
  8. Did anyone else experience nausea at 3 weeks out? I was feeling good until about 5 days ago and then I started feeling nauseous throughout the day. It is sometimes along with heartburn. I am taking zofran regularly. Plus my doc upped my PPI and I'm on carafate. I am able to get my liquids and protein drinks in so the doc isn't super concerned. But I don't really want to eat and just feel overall crappy. Doc said that sometimes they have patients that just feel nauseous for a couple months and then it goes away. They aren't for sure why. Anyone else experience this?

    heartburn!

I'm right there with you!! I'm 3 weeks out today and it has been HORRIBLE since Thursday night last week. Called my doc today and they increased my Prilosec to twice a day (from once a day). Are you taking anything?

    BJs Supplements website

I highly recommend BJ's! I ordered from them online and then realized they are right here in Indy! I stopped in last week. They have a very very small store (mostly Internet business) but its a mom and pop place. The guy who owns it was super helpful in helping me choice a calcium chew, let me try a bunch...he was just a really nice guy! I know I'm going to continue to buy my supplements from them. It's nice to support the family owned businesses.

    Core exercises?

How soon after surgery can we start doing core exercises? And what did you do? I of course won't do anything without clearance from my doc. Just wondering

    Need sleeve buddies!

We have a July sleevers Facebook page too. It's a secret group so if you are interested, PM me and I can add you. It's a great group-they have really been a lifesaver for me (sleeved July 1).

    Medical Leave

I'm 2 weeks post op tomorrow and took 3 weeks off. I'm glad I did (planned in the beginning to take only 2). It would be a bit of a struggle going back to work tomorrow. I get tired easily still and I'm still trying to get on a good schedule with eating, vitamins, walking, etc. I'm really glad I have another week.

    Sleevers over 300lbs?

I'm a newbie. Started at 360. Was 349 at surgery and now at 334 12 days post op
  16. I actually had the exact same fear. Was the only thing about the surgery that worried me. I am a pharmacist and had full faith in the medical team and the medications. I am 12 days post op and remember meeting the team in the operating room. I laid down on the table, put my arms out, and I think I was told they were putting something in my IV. (I was out!). You will be fine and well asleep during the surgery and will wake up in recovery sleeved!!
  17. I too struggle with the milk protein shakes. Premier is my favorite, if I had to do a creamy one. But have you tried syntrex nectars? They have milky flavored ones but they also have good water ones. My newest favs are roadside lemonade and fuzzy navel (peach flavored). They go down so much easier. Isopure was too sweet for me. But these remind me a lot of a Vitamin water. I actually mixed the fuzzy navel in an orange Vit Water Zero and it's just like orange juice (with a hint of peach)
