no bowel prep for me, just the pre op diet

I have a 10 day pre op diet and I can eat other things other than just protein shakes. I can have veggies and sugar free jello all I want. I am actually looking forward to doing this diet.

I am scheduled for January 13th too! I am also only 21. I'm January 13th also! Do you have a pre op diet? I have two weeks of liquids starting December 30th. my date changed and I start my diet on the 10th

I have tri-west prime and I had a minimal list. -6 visits to the doctor discussing my diet and exercise (I dropped 25 pounds during this) -psychological evaluation no EKG, no sleep study, no visits with the NUT. I got really lucky. I am also only 21 so that might of had something to do with it. I go in on January 20th for surgery. I wish everybody the best!!

I have my surgery date for January 20th 2014 by Dr. Jennifer McCallaster. But my insurance doesn't cover the sleeve so I am getting the RNY gastric bypass.

I have January 20th! have my pre-op appointment on January 8th. I am ready to be on the losers bench.

I have Tricare as well and the only thing that I had to do was the psyc eval and the 6 month supervised diet. That is a looooong list. But they are very quick for approval. It only took me a week to get a yes. Now I am just waiting for the scheduler to cal me with a surgery date, But you can do this!

I am 5'5 and my bmi is right around 50.

the average working family wouldn't be able to afford that. That is crazy. Mine gives me a guide to follow and offers the meals but if you can't afford them then they give you a list of generics. I am covered 100% and I am so thankful for that. (thank you tricare!)

My final visit is on the 14th and its a 3 hour long test. I got it scheduled early. I have tricare west and they only require one visit to the psych doc, but I had to be established as a new paitient first.

I only have 2 more meetings wiht my PCM, and my psych evaluation and then we submit to insurance! This is flying by so fast! Now the only thing to look foward to is to see if my husband will still be in the states for my surgery. He deploys near the end of October and I hope that I will be scheduled before he goes. My mother and my mother-in-law are going to come be with me even if he is here but it will be nice if he is here to see me. But I am betting him that when he comes home that he will not recgonize he. I am going to have to find a sexy dress and a pair of heals to wear! Also, thank you everybody for supporting me. It makes me feel like I am doing the right thing in regards to my health.

Does anyone like it? I am torn weather to buy that or just go ahead with the sample kit. Any thoughts?

Yeah, just beg them. Thats what I had to do for my first appointment. Now they are on top of everything.
