  2. I'm doing great fergie. I get to start full liquids today, so I'm hoping some Protein speeds things along. Still in pain at times. I'm still sleeping in the recliner. I'm trying to branch out, but Water is still my fav. I go on Tuesday to get this drain out, I'm hoping that will be a turning point also. How have you been doing? I have been doing awesome. Sleeping in my bed is heaven. I am still on Clear Liquids until I go to my 1 week appointment Thursday. I have been taking short walks and they get longer everyday. I am almost off of my pain meds and my incisions look great. No bruising but they are tender. My mother in law li jealous that I am recovering faster than what she did.

  4. Honestly you will not want to change into pj's. You will want to stay in the gown. I promised that I would put on my undies but I didnt feel like it. I only used my robe and chapstick.

  6. I too had surgery on the 20th and have been nauseous yesterday. But I took zofran and it kicked it in the butt. But it gets better. My nurses were surprised that I am doing so well. It gets better. I promise. If you wanna have a buddy just let me know and I'll talk to you!
  7. I had my first dumping experience on Apple juice. It's in my week 1 post op diet. I diluted it it made me dump big time. I even drank some in the hospital. It's the most uncomfortable feeling in the world.

  9. I have 8 incisions. But my gallbladder came out too
  10. Everyone will do great! Being nervous is normal but you can do this!
  11. It's so nice to hear that your doing well! I am home as well but very sore. Just try to burp and pass gas and you will feel so much better afterwards.
  12. Surgery went well. Took longer than expected. Had a leak test today and passed now in on clear liquids. The pain is about a 5 and so is my dizziness. I can use the bathroom on my own and walk. But I drain all over the place.

  14. I am! have to be at the hospital at 11 am and surgery is scheduled for 1 pm.
  15. Monday is coming fast! I have to check in at 11 am. This is getting so real. My mother in law will be staying with me because my husband is deployed right now but she is 3 1/3 years out from her bypass. I am sure that I'll be in good hands. Everyone is being super supportive.

  18. I have extra panties, grippy socks, my robe, deodorant, shampoo and conditioner, body wash, toothbrush and paste, hair ties, brush, gas-ex strips, phone and charger and that's about it. I am wearing the clothes that I wear there home. Oh and a pillow with a hot pink pillow case so I know it's mine.
  19. there is so many of us who are having surgery on the 20th. I have to be at the hospital at 11 am for prep and surgery is scheduled for 1 pm. I am so ready for this life change. I am ready to be healthy and have my life back.
  20. What is everyone packing in their hospital bag? I need ideas please!
  21. I have that same scale and it works great, I love it.
  22. this is what my surgeon recommends: Robitussin, dimetap, tylenol cold products, sudafed, benadryl.
  23. Do you have to do a bowel prep?? My surgery is Monday, they said they'd call on Friday. But I can only have liquids and my laxative on Sunday:-( yuk. Good luck to you, I hope to hear how great we are all feeling next weekend! I have surgery Monday as well and I don't have to do a bowel prep at all. I am just having a hard time keeping my sugar up. It's been in the low 70's all day. Any advice to keep it up. My surgeon wants me to eat yogurt, sf fudge sickles and sf pudding but nothing is doing the trick.
  24. I want a cheeseburger. That's all. Day 4 on diet it hard. I'm so hungry.
