    Post-Op January 2014 Losers Club!

My surgeon is 3 hours away and I am going to make an effort to find some friends. I do have support but it's just hard without having anybody here with me.

    Post-Op January 2014 Losers Club!

Sorry to hear you are going through this alone. Can some of your family come to you? It has to be tough going through this while your husband is deployed. It's stressful enough with the deployment. Will he be home soon? Have you checked on the forum to see if there are people here that may be close to you? Or maybe a support group for military wives? I can't imagine what you are going through. My husband was deployed for 9 months a few years ago and it took some getting use to. Take care of yourself and come in here and vent all you want. We will listen. : ) He can't tell me when he gets to come home. It's soon though. My family is planning on coming out in a few weeks but I am going crazy. I am using him as my motivation. He is the reason why I want to get healthy

    Post-Op January 2014 Losers Club!

I am in a really low spot. I am getting sick every night and I haven't been myself. I am so depressed and there is only person that can relate to me and she just left to go back to her home after helping me after my surgery. I am lost and I don't know what to do. My husband being deployed isn't helping either. I just need some human interaction. Being away from my family and going through this is one if the hardest things that I have had to do. I would go and be with my family but they are a 16 hour drive one way and knowing my luck something will go wrong while I am there. I need some direction. I think I will go talk to a therapist. Sorry I needed to vent...
  4. that is the all inclusive room and board. Once that says approved you are in the clear!

    Post-Op January 2014 Losers Club!

I have started to work out. An hour every day on the treadmill at 1.5 mph. I take a break half way and I remember to keep hydrated. I hope this will help speed up my weight loss
  6. I had to click on the referral and it had 2 sections. One will say pending until the actual surgery the other will have the room and board and if that says approved than you are approved!
  7. I got my approval from Tricare west in a week. You can also call Tricare it's self and see if you can speed the process along too! Good luck!

    Post-Op January 2014 Losers Club!

Are you on pureed foods? I was just wondering. I haven't even attempted to go out to a restruant. I am scared to. But that sounds so good! I hope you feel better tomorrow! Yes I was cleared to introduce them slowly. Looked up the nutrition facts before ordering and it had 18 grams of protein and no sugar. It was soooo good and a few bites and I was full. Thank you!

    What ya eating tonight?

Creamy potato bacon soup from red lobster. Only had the creamy part, not the chunks of potato. Very filling and very cheap! 4 bites and I was done!

    February Surgeries

Everyone will do just fine! I am almost 3 weeks out and love the habits that I am forming now. It's wonderful not to rely on food and have your day revolve around it. It is a life changer but each and everyone of you can do this. It's not easy and I can tell you that first hand. But it's worth it. Just sip, sip, sip and walk. Walking helped me so much. And gas will get stuck and the more you move the easier it will come out. And please stick to your surgeons post op diet and don't advanced without their permission. This is crucial to healing. Don't be like me and try to brave it. You'll end up miserable and throwing up. That is so unpleasant and hurts. Good luck to all upcoming surgeries and healing prayers sent to the ones on the losers bench already!!

    Post-Op January 2014 Losers Club!

I overdid it tonight. Made bakes ricotta and it don't settle right. It made me throw up. Worst feeling in the world. I also went to red lobster and tried the creamy potato bacon soup and went down well. Didn't eat the potato chunks. Going back to basics tomorrow just liquids. I may have pushed myself too far. Tomorrow is a new day.

two weeks out and not losing

Everyone has stalls. Don't focus on the scale and keep your eye on the prize. A healthier you.
  13. I am more than welcome to talk to you. I was undecided on the bypass and sleeve and ended up with the bypass. Feel free to email me and I will share what I have been through so far! I am 21 and it's harder for younger people come out and start their journey. I applaud you! Cfergie911@gmail.com
  14. You could possibly look them up online. They might have them listed. Or you could call them too. Good luck!

    My 600lb life

I hope that Christina can keep on the right track and keep loosing. She has enablers all around her and it's a toxic environment. I am in a realization that she is the same age as me and I would of ended up like her. I am glad that I have my tool and it reminds me why I had my surgery done in the first place.

    Weight gain

Perfectly normal! I was afraid that I wasn't going to loose but it was just fluids and the gas. I only weigh 1 time a week now and log the number just to look back on for motivation.
  20. I'm a basket case!! I cried like a baby the other day because a man on tv was wishing his mother a Happy 90th Birthday. I was like oh, his mom is 90...WAH! Lol. It's crazy how emotional we become. I warned my family to overlook me. You're a strong woman to go through this while your husband is deployed. He may not recognize you when he comes home. : ) He will be home in about 2 months. He already knows the only thing that he is going to see for the time being is my face when we video chat. I am going to buy a sexy dress and hopes that he walks right past me. I just wanna blow him away. I just hope the emotional roller coaster gets easier to handle lol
  21. I am excited to start a family and my surgeon prefers that I am at least a year out and have a stable weight but it is possible. It might be considered a high risk pregnancy just because most ob/gyns don't work with a lot of WLS patients but as long as your surgeon and lady doc communicate it should be a simple pregnancy. Good luck!
  22. Has anyones emotions gone crazy yet? I am happy one minute and crying the next. It probably doesn't help that it's the time of the month and I miss my husband terribly. (He is deployed) I am a total wreck! I am almost 2 weeks out.
