  1. YAY! I was so excited the other day when I found out I was just overweight so I know how you feel!
  2. Hi, Has anyone had back pain after surgery that gets better when you lie down? My mom had surgery on 3/21 and is having terrible pain in her left lower back that gets better when she lies down. I'm waiting for a call back from the surgeon but I figured I'd ask the boards if anyone experienced this. The pain has been coming/going for over a week. THanks
  3. I had them send me the voucher to try one free.....cheese? Whodathunkit but I do love Desserts made with ricotta and mascarpone....I'll let you know how it tastes.
  4. Fatty McFatster - good luck at your appointment. Gaining that much weight in such a short period, the ankle swelling and the pain are a sign of SOMETHING. If the cardiologist doesn't find it...then keep on plugging away and make an appt with your PCP. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark!
  5. Thanks inner surfer girl for the link!
  6. Hope all is well sassyfrass23 [emoji5]
  7. I just want to be able to go into stores like Macy's etc. and buy something off the rack and on sale. If I ever have to step foot in Lane Bryant again.........[emoji15]
  8. I'm glad you got checked out and I'm sorry for all the medical woes you have been having. Let us know how it goes after your cardiology appt.
  9. Thanks everyone for the responses I'm looking forward to this....and I will make sure I plan my time accordingly....I love organizers.... STAPLES here I come.
  10. We're all saving you a seat sassyfrass23 [emoji12] you are going to rock this surgery.
  11. So far my Charge HR has been pretty accurate on the steps.
  12. I figured I would post this in the fitness forum - I want to get a GO PRO camera for my 13 year old, very active niece who loves photography. Is it better to get one that is wi-fi enabled? The prices range from $100 to $300+.....is the $100 one worth it??? If there is another forum that this could go in...let me know! Any responses appreciated. THANKS!
  13. Sleevy Wonder - we had surgery around the same time! I also had a stall that lasted about 6-8 weeks with losing/gaining the same pound over and over....the scale FINALLY moved down this week and I dropped 4lbs. Stick with it my friend!
  14. My Spring goals are to walk a 5K, to continue using my Fitbit to track my steps (goal is 10,000 a day), and to lose another 10lbs by Memorial Day. I just realized I am no longer considered OBESE by the BMI charts! I'm just OVERWEIGHT! OH JOY OF JOYS I'M OVERWEIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Crepes are basically just scrambled eggs.....It's the FILLINGS you have to be wary of If you think you can handle it....go ahead and enjoy a crepe. Ok ... so they are more of an eggy pancake...but still, it's the toppings/fillings to be wary of. I had a piece of french toast on Sunday and IT DID NOT KILL ME!
  16. Inner Surfer Girl - I'm going to pursue my Bachelors in Criminal Justice. Thanks for the cheering!
  17. Thanks guys. I have my Associates in Criminal Justice and that's what I'm going to get the Bachelor's in. They will call me back a week from Friday to go over some things. Right now I just need to get my transcripts mailed to them so I can see what they will accept for credits. They will take up to 90 credits. I am going to give my manager a heads up too, to ensure that there won't be any issues with reimbursement for the courses.
  18. Congratulations! Keep it up.
  19. I was on the bus home the other day and when we passed the high school I saw that they had a sign for Bay Path University. I've been wanting to go back to school and get my Bachelors (I have my Associate Degree) so I looked it up. They have a campus at the high school for their "One Day A Week" college. I talked to one of the Admission's peeps today and I filled out the online application. I even completed the financial aid paperwork, but I know I won't qualify. Luckily my work will reimburse me up to $6,000 a year for classes (as long as I get a "C" or better). The school even has a "deferred payment" program knowing that most jobs won't pay until after you get your grades. I'm going to start in September. I'm excited. I haven't been this excited since finding out my surgery was approved.
  20. I weigh myself pretty much daily. I had a spell where I bounced around the same 1-2 lbs, up/down, up/down, up/down and I wasn't too freaked out by it. I'm now back on a downward trend, which is great! I'm going to try to go weekly, but I doubt I'll be able to make it. I bet I breakdown and peak at the scale by the weekend. Once I get to goal I can see myself weighing daily for accountability.
  21. You've got this....keep us updated!
  22. 190lbs today. Didn't make my goal but the scale is going in the right direction! YAY!!!
  23. Stranger things have happened! Maybe I will try running inside on the treadmill first before I venture outside!
  24. Ok the brushes have arrived.....best time to use them? Before a shower? Brush top to,bottom? Bottom to top? Thanks for the info in advance. Oh and how do you brush? Long strokes? Circular pattern?
  25. I thought I was doing good until my latest update! Nicksmommy you are seriously kickin ass and takin names!
