I was Doing Great Until...
Your husband isn't doing you any favors by bringing that kind of food into the house and preparing stuff for you that you don't want. I would get food delivered. Tell him if you gain weight your hip is going to be even worse!!! I don't think you stretched your stomach, but you might want to do the "BACK ON TRACK" program. You can search for how to start it here on the boards. I don't suggest going back on the liquids full-time....especially if it will feel like punishment. Go back to basics....and tell your husband to GET ON BOARD!

For those with GERD pre-op . . .
My mom has GERD, and at times it was really bad. She has been watching her diet and making sure she doesn't go LONG times in between eating and it's gotten better. She's scheduled to have the sleeve next month. * She also had an endoscopy and esophagram and it looked normal, BUT her surgeon told her that she could still have a hernia even though these were normal and she is going to look for it when she does my mom's surgery next month. My mom's surgeon is still recommending the sleeve even though she has GERD.

Friday NSV roll call!
My NSV for this week continues to be that I can do SO MUCH MORE than I could at my highest weight. I'm down several sizes, I can shop in "regular" stores, and I cross my legs every day!

I'm not a garbage pail
I understand food calling to you and mindless eating because it's there. Good for you for tossing it out.

Confessional: Old habits are creeping back in
Glad you caught your slip now before it became a bigger problem later with a gain! Good for you.

sugar scrubs..or whatever you call em
About once every other month I boil a full kettle and pour the boiling Water down my tub drain. If I'm really feeling adventurous I will put some baking soda down the drain first, followed by a little cheap white vinegar. It's cool to watch it foam. Then do the boiling water. I asked a plumber who said it was safe for the pipes and it keeps them flowing well. The conditioner gets gunked up as well as all the other soapy residue. Instead of the Coconut oil you could try olive oil but I'm betting the coconut oil is probably cheaper.

Over 60 and having the sleeve
proudgrammy - i didn't mean ANY disrespect the over 60 crowd...none at all! I'm just trying to make my mom's surgery as painless as possible I'm sure you are right.....her journey will probably be much like mine. She's been reading the books, but she really doesn't like using the computer for anything other than playing games. She's not that into technology.

Any sleevers over 60?
@VSGAnne2014 - it was definitely her idea! No one can tell my mom to do something she doesn't want to do. I think she's seen me be successful and would like that for herself 2Goldengirl & MissMac - thank you for your comments. I know that losing weight will make her feel so much better and also better about herself. I know she's going to do well. She has really put a lot of effort into this and is one of the first one's in her "class" from orientation to have a surgery date. Thanks for the responses!

Any sleevers over 60?
Hi, I've posted in the age specific discussion but it doesn't seem to get as many looks as this one. My mom is going to have the sleeve in March and I was wondering if there are any over 60 sleevers out there who could give me some tips? She is 66. She's retired, has had one knee replaced and will probably have the other one done in a couple of years. Her goals are to be more active, not get as winded, and be able to keep up with her grandkids who range in age from 8 to 13. Any info/tips would be helpful. Thanks!

Amazing news...
I am so happy for you. I distinctly remember the day I opened the letter from my health plan and it was the approval for the surgery. I really thought it was an EOB or something silly...imagine my shock! I felt glorious that day! Still do actually............it's lovely to be 99lbs down!

Lets talk Tea....
I love tea too but I must admit at this time I am drinking boring old Lipton Decaf! Does it count as real tea?

Ring NSV
Today I tried on a ring that I was given when I was about 12. I have no idea what size it is, I just know that once I was in high school it no longer fit. It's a gold claddagh and I have always loved it. IT FIT! On both hands I can get it on my ring finger and it's not even tight. I never in a million years thought I could wear it again. This is amazing. I'm so glad I had my sleeve!!!! ????

Tall Women, Tell Me Your Story!
Hello to all the tall ladies I am 5'10" and my primary care said that my goal weight should be around 175. I am shooting for 165. I don't remember ever weighing that little, so I will see how my body feels when I get closer to those weights. Right now I feel pretty good just being under 200lbs for the first time in my adult life. Hope all the recent surgical people are doing well!

Hanging belly fat ????
Listen - this isn't going to be a popular response but would you rather stay FAT and/or MORBIDLY OBESE and die earlier and likely miss out on a lot of life or would you rather have a little hanging skin? For me it's a no brainer.

I need advice
I think you should call your surgeon. Try taking really teeny sips OFTEN. See if you can get ANY Protein shake down. Even an oz....even if it takes you a half an hour! You need the liquids. It's tough. BUT PLEASE call the doc if you aren't able to get stuff down.

If this wasn't so pathetic it would be hilarious

About Fat Thighs...
MichiganChic - did the 360 lower body lift help with the thighs at all? Mine don't look AWFUL but they are a little deflated. I was hoping if I got the 360 that would help. I really want to have a brachioplasty and an abdominoplasty...but if the 360 helped the thighs...I might do that. I'm no where near ready for plastics yet, but dreaming!
