I have a pro-form. Some people think that they are crappy because they aren't terribly expensive, but I've had this one for about 15 years and never had a problem with it. Just recently I needed a new belt for it because I have worn this one out, and the service guy told me a I could buy a new one for what it costs to fix it. I told him to fix it anyway, because I liked it.

What about your intake of fats? I often see people who are struggling with hunger talk about Protein and fibre but I rarely see them talk about fats. You need to be getting good quality fats in, mono unsaturated fatty acids. Avocado, olives and olive oil, seeds, especially flaxseed, or seed oils if it is too early for you to have the seeds. These do more for satiation and are essential in helping your body burn your visceral fat.
Edited to add a list o easy to access MUFA foods. The foods are calorie dense so sparing use is advised, but they do increase your feeling of fullness as they are fats and fats are a filler. But they are good fats so will help your journey to health in moderation.
Avocados,
Nuts, such as almonds, cashews, pecans and macadamias,
Nut butters,
Olive oil,
Olives,
Peanut oil.
Flax oil
Sunflower oil
Canola oil
Green olives
Almond butter
Peanut Butter
chocolate chips
Avocadoes
Seeds
Macadamia nuts
Dark chocolate
Peanuts
Soybeans
Tahini
Pesto sauce

We went across the street to a VW car show. I bet there were 1000 locals and us 2 Americans. We didn't feel threatened at all...but we didn't go into any back alleys either. Just don't do anything you wouldn't do in a big city in the states.

We will always have head hunger. Part of the hormone was removed but not all of it. And from my understanding that hormone does come back.plus there are other hormones that make us hungry as well. Thats why its important to make sure you always get Protein in first veggies second and maybe carbs if you have any extra room. The further out you get the solid protein will keep you fuller longer. Are any of you taking a PPI for acid reflux which also mocks hunger?

For my self I have figured that if Im at home all day I want to eat all the time(doesnt matter what it is either) , but when I am out of the house it is easier. I dont work husband wants me at home so its hard being there. Shoot you can only clean the house so many times a day and then your left with the tv or computer and thats my boring time. I always want to eat when Im bored.

Im 6 months today. So frustrated also, I finally hit onderland like a week ago and now back up to 201. I know its my fault though. I ate a stupid candy bar after I hit 198 and since then it has only gone up and stayed. That is the only cheat I have done through this whole "journey". Damn Im angry at this ****!!!!!

I did it! It was easy peasy! Well all but that last three minute run- I kinda wanted to quit, I won't lie. But that's the beauty of any exercise you CAN persevere. And I did it!! Yay! It helps that it was nice and cool and taking it really easy is key. I could almost carry on a conversation the whole time!!
I learned that taking the kids can be less lonely, but I missed the focus I usually get when I run. The quiet almost meditative part of the sport- no kids next time. Ps, large cemeteries are AWESOME for running. Noone around, perfect little roads and even very old little grass covered roads. It's quiet, some shade here and there. It was great. Plus, it's a location that actually reminds you why you're running. it was a nice night.
Edited to add - I think the knee thing is a thing of the past. These fantastic shoes plus focusing on not rotating my hips when I run is working great!! Makes running easier too.

You and the others on this site are all adults. Just know when the vets say something, or give advice, they are not doctors or nuts....but do have the unique perspective of living through some of the semi advanced stages of this process.. and when they say they don't think it is necessarily a good idea for sleevers who are only months out and still in the "honeymoon" stage to take on a somewhat experimental diet, without your Drs or nutritionists consent, they are speaking from some experience you might not have had yet. Just saying. We have also spoken out against people taking diet pills, drinking alcohol early out, and binging and purging. This 5:2 plan may be harmless and even beneficial, but the jury is still out. You will be living with your sleeve for a LONG time, and I recommend you take time, get to your goal or near goal, and if you are not at goal by a year or so, or are having a hard time maintaining using your hard learned skills, then jump in with the rest of us....IF we find it is so great that we are still doing it! Cheers and congratulations on getting the sleeve! My 2 cents.
