  2. Good luck to everyone getting sleeved today. Surgery is at 1:15 central time. I will soon be joining you all on the losers bench today. Yay !
  3. I wish you the best of luck. I have to be at the hospital in about 4 hours.
  4. In less then 24 hrs I will be sleeved. I feel like little kid at Christmas waiting for Santa. The anticipation is nerve wrecking.
  5. Tomorrow is my big day, I'm soooo excited!
  6. Tomorrow, June 3 is the big day. Very anxious! My bag is packed and I'm in the gym getting my last hard workout in before I have to take it slow for awhile.
  7. Good luck! Congratulations on the start of a new you.
  8. Good luck! Wow, first patient?! That's great. That means your doctor will be fresh and well rested for your surgery.
  9. Good luck! You will do just fine.
  10. Day 2 of preop diet, I am craving everything. I also have a super sense of smell right now, I guess it's because I'm not shoveling a ton of junk into my body.
  11. As long as they can get to your scalp, it won't be a problem. They probably said no weave because they have had some patients that may have had a weave cap on or maybe the braids were too close together for them to reach the scalp.
  12. Congrats! best of luck to you on this special day.
  13. Thanks, this is awesome. So I completed my 4th nutrition/ pre-opclass today. I go for my pre-op testing 5/20 and a day or two after that I will start my 10 day high Protein diet. Luckily it is not an all liquid diet. I can actually have food in addition to my Protein drinks.
  14. I have locs and it was very nerve wrecking getting all the glue out of my hair. They do not use a dab, it is more like a glob, at least the size of a finger tip. They also prefer that women not wear acrylic nails to the test, I have a gel overlay and did not have a problem. Also, I had to remove the polish from my nail on the finger that had the pulse of monitor attached( did not understand the purpose of that)
  15. I'm obsessed too. Can't stop watching you tube videos, googling different things pertaining to surgery, and in the process of ordering some cookbooks For WLS patients.
  16. Hello everyone! I am scheduled for June 3rd with Dr. Hungness here in Chicago. My 4th and final nutrition class is May 4th and pre-op testing May 20th.
  17. I am scheduled to have VSG on June 3rd with Dr. Hungness at Northwestern Hospital. He has a great personality and friendly bedside manner. He is skilled in advanced laparoscopic procedures.
