    24 hours since sleeve

I know its hard when you have the nausea, I've been battling it myself. Can you get an rx called in by your doc for the anti nausea drug Zofran? It works quickly & comes as a dissolvable little pill. As far as the Prilosec goes I was told to look for capsules that you can open and sprinkle in a drink. Good luck, keep drinking & walking.

    May 6 post surgery

Had mine yesterday. Not going to lie yesterday was one of the hardest days I've ever had to deal w. Up most of the night battling nausea and dry heaving and high blood sugar. But feel tons better now eating jello, broth, water & walking.
  3. Oh I forgot to mention that the slow mag is the better one to take as its more readily absorbed. Can take two or three. Also good for menstrual cramps too though I don't think your husband has to worry about that
  4. Yep I get the same thing, feels like growing pains. Usually happens when I reduce my carbs also. I took "slow mag" can get it at Wal-Mart and a tylenol. It helps.
  5. Has anyone not lost any weight on the pre-op diet? Mine is 2 weeks full liquids w one Protein bar a day allowable. I have been doing it for a week w lots of water/ low carbs/30 mins of cardio/approx. 800 calories and my scale hasn't budged. I have already lost 12 lbs. through 6-month diet and exercise program w NUT but was really hoping to lose another 8 lbs before my surgery. Scares me that I won't lose after surgery...maybe my body is just too used to dieting and is holding on to every ounce of fat for dear life lol.

No weight loss on pre-op diet

That's great! I'm just more annoyed than anything. Maybe this type of a diet isn't really a shock to my body any more. I weigh in at my PCP tmrw for my pre-surgery physical so maybe that will produce a different number. I don't want to live for that number but I also don't want the surgeon's staff to think I'm not following the plan.

No weight loss on pre-op diet

Grrr. Same amount again (258.8) after playing tennis for an hour yesterday and more water. Beginning to wonder if I need a new scale...

No weight loss on pre-op diet

Thanks, 14 lbs is great! I know it's hard to predict what the body will do I'm just nervous about my ability to lose after the surgery.
  9. Yeah you are a better woman than I, I also told my boyfriend that he will need to fend for himself but we have a deep-freeze full of food and it's grilling season so I think he'll manage just fine
  10. I'm May 7th, nervous but hopeful. Pre-op diet is a major drag, just counting down the days til next Tuesday
