  1. Hey Vertical Sleeve Talk world - I have had my 1st segment air on the local news station here in TX. They will be following me for a year - I was honest and put myself out there in hopes I could help some people decide their plan of action on their health! They even got permission to go into the operating room. Anyhow if any of you are interested her is the link and make sure to watch both parts. www.newschannel6now.com click on News tab and go down almost to bottom and look for "Walk with Irene".........I was sleeved on 7.17 - enjoy!

  2. I am an August Sleevers but I use my fitness pal too. My email address is adr525@comcast.net if anyone would like to add me as a friend

Hey just became a member of my fitness pall - your email is not working can you add me - and this goes for you other ladies -too add me if I don't add you first. IreneR1969

  3. I ordered the sample pack from Unjury. I mixed the vanilla and the chocolate with skim milk and PB2. Could tolerate both! But looking into purchasing big tubs, Isopure seems to have some great reviews too. Both are pricey, but that is not that big of an issue. Which is better tasting? And better for you?

I would go with Unjury hands down, I love their unflavored because it really is unflavored and I have added to Soups and sugar free puddings, also I had a flavor I didn't like and no questions asked on their return policy - I sent it back and they gave me my money back...great customer service!!!

  4. I can't wait to get off of clear. I have my cream Soups lined up and need to get my yogurts ready lol.

Hey just wanted to post if you haven't bought it already get yourself some Unjury Unflavored Protein - it is amazing and has been my saving grace! I have put it in my creme soups and my sugarfree fat free Jello Snacks - I have a scale and the scoop weighs 10 grams empty, so if you divide the 24 grams of protein by 4 = you just need 6 grams of powder in the scoop and it's not alot and mixes very easily into my jello - dulce de luche - yum yum and I get about 5 grams of protein - and i have done a full scoope in my 1/2 cup of soups and it mixes there easily too - but make sure you don't heat it over 130 degrees use a food themometer - which Unjury website sales if you just want to make one purchase....just saying! Good luck!

  5. I had my surgery on 7/16. I'm hungry! I just want a little treat. It's a little hard watching my family eat all the foods I love. I've got to find a way to keep my mind off eating.

I have had a little temptation, but having been to therapy for the last 3 months and starting again this week I can say that the one thing that has helped when I am around people eating food is to close your eyes and take a deep breath and remember this too shall pass and soon you will be eating "anything you want" - or I turn my sound machine on that I got from Amazon and listen to the rain and take myself somewhere else for the time being - this might sound corny to some of you but just thought I would post...god bless!

  6. Hi everyone, I was sleeved on the 17th and I am in the heavy liquid phase - jason's deli and quizno's broc cheese Soup has helped as a serving is about 9 grams of Protein - I liquify it and then add a scoop of the unflavored Unjury protein so I get about 30 gr of protein - I know it has fat but right now I am just worried about my protein...also bought all kinds of sugar free puddings - bannna creme, choc, vanilla, pastachio, lemon and making it with skim milk and adding unflavored protein to it and getting about 10 gr of portein that way too....unjury choc and vanilla shakes are tasty too. good luck anyone andy other ideas during the heavy stage would be appreciated. anyone found any sugar free yogurts?

  7. Hi, I live in Wichita Falls, TX and have worked for the same company for almost 20 years, for the last 14 years I have worked from home. I have a daughter getting her bachelors in nursing from MSU and we live together. I have been batteling my weight for 20 + years. Last spring my pcp asked me to please consider WLS and I looked into it but did not have the means to pay for it. My benefits at work do not cover anykind of WLS. This year I did better in budgeting and will be able to self pay for the sleeve procedure. I have my first consult on 5.16.13 and hope to put my surgery in the books for 7.19.13. I am scared and anxious but know that I WILL succeed because it's time to live and stop hiding!
