  7. I am also very interested in knowing why you would have to be resleeved.
  8. Hopefully your surgeon will give you some guidance tomorrow that will help you. In the meantime hang in there and know that we're all rooting for you. Do let us know what you find out from your surgeon tomorrow.

  12. Docbree, Do not let your mom be involved in this unless she is going to be a support to you. I did not tell my mom I was having surgery and she still does not know. She would have never wanted me to do it and she would've tried her best to talk me out of it and I just didn't want to deal with it. Go forward, be strong, it will change your life. You will never regret this. I am just 11 days postop and I can't tell you how much better I feel and I know it's only going to get better. I wish you strength and perseverance.

  14. Sleeved 5/28 Down 12 pounds.
  15. That is fantastic. Congratulations!
  16. My doctor has me on clear liquids for two weeks so I haven't even started protein and lost 10 pounds total. Anyway I don't think you're doing too bad considering you're already drinking protein but I'm a newbie so hopefully some other people weigh in.
  17.    Jellybeansoup reacted to a post in a topic: Week 4 post-op and feeling so fine!
  18. Palomarules, I was sleeved on the 28th also. I am doing really well but struggling to get enough liquid. I would love to hear how you're doing. Jellybean

  20. My doctor said I could start to exercise as soon as I felt up to it. However I don't think I am supposed to lift.

  22. She is breaking your agreement out of bitterness. You are going to.have this great tool that she wants. Next time someone says something to you say, "did she tell you she is also having it, pending insurance approval?" I'm sure she is failing to mention that part of it. The best revenge will come down the road when you look fabulous and she is still bitter and has not lost any weight. In short, stay on the high-road.
  23. Okay, I keep reading about sleevers losing their hair. I'd like to know if there is anyone out there, six months post-op or more, that did not go through hair loss. If you were one of the lucky ones can you tell me what you did that might be the difference maker? Thank you.
  24. Okay, we've got it worked out. My husband is going to meet my sister halfway. Thanks for the input!
  25. I am having surgery about three hours from home. We're trying to work out the logistics now. My sister is going to be with me and she also lives three hours away but in the opposite direction. She wants to come and get me and then drive me to surgery and then drive me back home and then drive back to her house which would be a total of 18 hours of driving if she would just meet me there she would only have to drive six hours. I hope you were able to follow all that. Anyway, do you think I would be able to drive myself home a few days after surgery? I could really use some input from some of you that've been there.
  26. Is there anyone who has NOT lost their hair?
  27. Good luck! I have mine on May 28.
