I don't know that I would recommend you do anything different than guys in general. Females don't have the same hormones that guys have, so you can do pretty much the same lifts and it will "tone" you. With a guy who has a normal testosterone range with more calories/complex carbs, those will tend to add bulk. Two days lifting is definitely sufficient for toning and getting in enough resistance training/lifting. Just stick to the compound lifts such as squats, bench press, military press, dips, pullups and maybe even deadlifts (about every other week), and you, for the most part, wouldn't need to do any other type of lifts. Probably 2-3 sets of each of these would be all you need in a week, except for deadlifts, they tend to take longer to recover from and maybe do them more like once every 10 days or so. Also depends on your goals. If the upper body is more your concern, can't go wrong with bench press (especially with dumbbells), military press and pullups.

I have not sleeved yet, so I do not have first have knowledge or experience with it. However, in my former life (ten-plus-years-ago-when-I-was-in-shape), I was an aerobics instructor and weight trainer. I learned a lot about the body and how it functions when it comes to fat burning and building muscle mass.
That being said, I want to address those of you who are experiencing stalls. Stalls in the beginning of the sleeve process are usually due to your body re-supplying its Water and insulin stores that were utilized when your body went into shock from the liquid diet. When stores are utilized, your body sheds all of the weight that those stores consisted of in your body. This is part of the large amount weight that you see shed in the beginning. However, once your body has depleted its stores, it starts to store them once again (it needs to prepare itself in case of another emergency!). This is where sleevers tend to see stalls—the period of time that your body is restoring itself and is adding back its water weight.
Stalls seen thereafter in people who are following the doctor and nutritionists advice to the letter, and whom are also exercising, are often experiencing the added pounds of muscle mass. Muscle weight weighs more than fat because of its density. Picture a steak with chunks of fat on the sides, the meat is heavier—denser. Often times people think that they are “stalling” or plateauing, but they are in actuality burning more fat and adding muscle mass. DO NOT let this stop you from lifting weights and trying to build muscle mass, because the more muscle you have, the more fat you burn! YES, that is right!!! The more muscle you add to your body, the greater you enable your body to burn the fat—essentially, making you thinner! So, you might not be seeing loss on the scale, but you should definitely see loss in the inches and circumference of your body.

So today should have been my first day of puréed. I have a bullet so overnight I did a whole chicken in my crock pot, deboned it and took the juice and some meet and puréed everything. It looks like wet mush! But it is delicious! I abate two tablespoons which is what my Nut has on my instructions...it hit my tummy like a rock! Ouch! But after 2 mins the discomfort went away and I am satisfied! Yippee!!!!!!!! I can have 4 more servings today. I feel much more normal.
Anti, the potted meat and crackers are on my list for this puréed transition given to me by the Nut I have been working with. I just should have waited til today to try puréed.
    Thanks for the information .

I take it day by day! I am working on control right now... I mean if you think about that concept, it's all in our hands we have complete control and need to draw from that. What is causing me to eat? When I want to sneak something why? And what can I do to change that mindset and move on from the loop playing in my head.
Easier said than some somedays, but when I can take a step back and look at it from the outside its pretty powerful. My word for the day is control

Normal weight people deal with their food choices daily. Unlike us fatties who generally follow the "go big or go home" mantra, people who keep their weight normal have a cheeseburger once in awhile but don't make it a habit or they don't supersize it or skip the milkshake.
One of the reasons I got this done was to relearn that balance I had before. I can have a cheeseburger. I just have to make adjustments to my activity or eating to make up for it. Unfortunately, so many of us have dieted for so long that we have gotten in the habit of on the wagon off the wagon so we're either strictly dieting or eating out of control.
IMO, you can't break that cycle if you have a bunch of "never agains".

I think it's normal to get nervous. When you question Yourself remember that there is a reason you are this far. There's reasons that made you even look into this surgery. Don't lose sight of the prize. Don't think about the details now. Focus on positive thoughts. It's over before you know it begins. You'll do great:)

Congrats:) I'm 7 days post op. Egg beaters sound great. I'm still on liquid. I had hernia repair too and it's taking a little longer to get to full liquid. My weight loss is about the same. It's been tough but worth it!
