    Scared $hitless

I too was nervous before going in with this surgery however I've also been thin b4 with the help of the band. When I lost the weight I got my life back and was able to do things I havn done in years like run not walk, play with my kids, swim etc.. unfortunatey, I devloped herniab and took it out gain most of my weight back but I am glad to have a second chance with the sleeve. Being over 300 pounds is so debilitating to my life. Since surgery 3 weeks ago despite the ups and downs my knees don't hurt and I look forward to what summer will hold with me and my family. I chose the surgery because I want to live a long healthy life. I intend on folowing the program so I can accomplish just that. I am glad I found this forum so I can encourage and be encouraged as well. Put God first and he wil do the rest. Yur fate does not have to be your mom or sisters. Keep pushing(pray until something happens-push)

    So tired no energy

That's what I did and I know I am dehydrated based on the color excuse me of my urine and back pains. If you feel like you make be getting a UTI. Mix one tsp of baking soda to one eight ounce glass of water until the pain goes away. Had to start this today. Learned tis from a nurse who used to work in urgent careyears ago. And cranberry juice of course.

Not at all. I would be glad to get two eight ounce protein shakes in but I can't. The protein shake has 15 grams per 8 ounce but I am only able to get one in per day with the one I do in the blender. The store brought ones aren't as thick.

    So tired no energy

Thanks for th advice. Bananas I used about a quarter piece with some spiruten protein and coconut silk milk but when I tried strawberries my body totally rejected it. I also took some naussea medication I was given in the hospital that made matters worse. I am scared to eat food. I previously was a band patient and did well until the 4th year. Acid reflux, hiatal hernia then band removal. As I was gaining I got pregnant which was something my husband and I could never achieve on our own. Long story short. I hate to throw up! Hope this passes soon.

    So tired no energy

I am glad to find your post because I feel awful today. Three weeks out. I am frustrated, weak, cold and hungry. I am praying it gets better but I threw up severa times since surgery and the protein drinks are getting frustrating. I tried today to blend strawberries in my drink and I had an adverse affect. My mother in law said strawberries have acid and to stay away. I want to try other foods but I am afraid. Any suggestions please!

    African American Sleevers

I am glad to have someone ask this question as well. My family of origin is from the south and that doesn't mean we fry everything that moves but many of my dishes are southern based not too mention my husband is West Indian. I love both cultures and food. I cook it all. I have friend frm everywhere ad continue to learn how to cook a lot of things I probably can't eat now! I am 3 weeks out. Feeling weak and hungry. I too am looking for suggestions.
