Well I don't have any answer about this. I am 5 1/2 months post op and started losing a little after surgery but about 3 months it started clogging the shower drain and it is not slowing at all, actually the last couple of days have been the worst. Had to clean out the drain twice to get the Water to go down. Everything you read says it's temporary and it starts at the 3 month post op and then stops anywhere from 6-9 months. I asked a beautician friend of mine about any products that might work and when i get an answer I will let you all know

Thank you for this post! Some days, seems like the weight is coming off too slowly for what I put my body through.....surgery was 8/6, down 26 pounds since surgery......but I remind myself I'd never have lost this weight if it wasn't for surgery.
Sabotage, you say? I was this weight 7 years ago, after following a strict, Dr. supvervised weight loss plan that went belly up.......then had some family issues.......and between the two, I really indulged in comfort eating........yeah, maintenance scares the stuffing out of me......but can't worry about it now.....I need to get there first LOL Thanks again!

Hello my vertically challenged friends. I would love to hear some updates on everyone's journey. I have lost slowly but that is fine with me as long as it is coming off. I am down a total of 50 pounds in 4 months. At first I was really into walking and exercising and now I have hit a not so active time. I have to get myself motivated to get moving. I'm not a lucky one with this surgery, I have had to work to lose weight it just isn't falling off. So I need some words of wisdom. I have 50 more pounds to lose and need some encouragement. I have always been one to sabotage myself and seems like I'm doing it again. Anyone else having issues with this?

5 ft 2" highest weight 225.5. 9 mo checkup next week. Down 80 pounds. 15 to goal ... Normal Bmi range. Lost lots of inches. Saved a pair of jeans and shorts but haven't put them on. Size 14 skort and med or large tops. Whole new summer wardrobe with help from daughters and friend. Only a few tips for fall. Waiting to shop again!

I am 9wks and 3 days out and today I made it to WONDERLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today I am 199.0 and I started at 236 so happy!!!!

I think all of us completely understand the short and round body type. Great job on the weight loss, 45 pounds is nothing to sneeze at. I am also slow at getting the scale to move, 35 pounds in 3 months. But I will gladly take the slow moving scale down then the fast moving scale up. No regrets Keep up the good work!!

I'm 5'0", my highest weight was 272. My weight this morning was 200.2. I'm scheduled for surgery on August 1st. After losing and regaining over 100 pounds 3 separate times, I knew I just couldn't do it again. I'm tired of riding this roller coaster. I'm hoping the sleeve will finally put an end to my binge and volume eating. I'm 60 years old so I'm afraid it's going to be a slow process, but I've been fighting this battle for 55 years. I've never eaten like a "normal" person. My whole life I've either been on a diet or bingeing. The support on this site is amazing. I know I'm gonna make it.

Hi everyone I am a labor and delivery nurse in Poughkeepsie ny for the last 5 years. My surgery date was sept 11 2012. Starting weight 294, current weight 186.

I got a new job! I'll be starting in two weeks, but I just wanted to post it here because I really think the sleeve and subsequent weight loss gave me the confidence and look I needed to be able to land it! I'm an informatics nurse, and I'll be working for a large home care/hospice organization implementing an EHR). This position will require some travel, something I would have never been able to even consider before due to not fitting in plane seats (that used to give me months of dread if I knew I had to travel). I am so happy I had the surgery, it has really changed my life! I can't wait to see what the next 60 pounds lost brings! It's like the clock is turning back for me. I'm so grateful for this gift

I know the sheer joy of accomplishment makes GOAL seem really exciting but as I read your status, I was taken back by how we think GOAL is only a number on a scale. With only eight pounds from where you want to be on the scale, it almost seems laughable to say you arent there, doesn't it? Coming where we all came from to where we are now - WE ARE AT GOAL!
Healthy in body and spirit - life to look forward to in a way we never did before! Boy, how proud of yourself can you be? Keep it up! I have no doubt those 8 lbs will be lost but in my mind! GOAL!!!!!!

Oh, there will be no butt trumpets here unless I am sitting on the pot. How in the world could I be (TMI) making this weird sludge if I have nothing in my system? It's disgusting and I am so afraid that I am going to shart. Butt trumpets are for potties only for now.

I was also sleeved on the 20th. No problems with nausea or pain. I am having issues with Constipation and gas bubbles. No heartburn but constant gas bubbles rumbling. I think constipation is the worse. Anyone else?

I am 5'2. Down 125 pounds in 7 months

Ok. I'm eight months out and down a total of 77 pounds since surgery. 103 pounds to include preop loss. I currently weigh 138
I had to go bra shopping because the girls have shrank. Lol!!! Being over weight my entire life... I've always had big girls. 40DD.... Today I want shopping and had to get a 34 C cup. Oh and I also need to mention I had to get all push up bras!!! Never in my life have I needed that. It felt very strange. I guess on a positive note... I did get to shop for pretty girly stuff instead of the over the shoulder bolder holders. Lol!!!

I officially hit a 100 pound weight loss today!!!! I am so excited!!! I weighed in at 141.
I want to put on my dancing shoes!!!

I'm 5'2 and 6 months out. I have lost 83 pounds so far.
