  1. I'M AN OFFICIAL COLLEGE GRADUATE AS OF 8/6/13!!

I am so happy that I've finally gotten to the end of this journey. After many sleepless nights, good and bad grades, endless studying, and everything that comes along with being in college, I've finally finished and reached the end. Now that i am done with school (for now) i am going to put my heart in soul into working towards my next goal which is to lose 40lbs by October 15th ( my birthday) . As of August 4th 2013, 3 months post- op, i am down 63lbs and i know i can reach goal if i work hard and eat right.

    Wish me luck guys!

  2. Congrats on your NSV's :) :D

My goodness, for me it's so many things!

    - After cleaning i'm not so winded and don't sweat anymore.

    - Back use to ache when i washed dishes. Not anymore baby!

    - dark spots on my face are clearing up

    - My neck is super thin and my face has pulled back considerably

    - After my mom uses my car ( she's way thinner than me) i don't have to readjust so i can fit. Her chair settings fit me comfortably.

    - My shorts are way too big.

    - Jeans no longer fit me. Too big.

    - As you stated, pooch is getting way smaller so it doesn't poke out when i wear dresses. My stomach somewhat flat in clothes.

    - When i climb the stairs i'm no longer out of breath

    - I more comfortably in small chairs.

    - Small clothes are becoming too big and small bras are fitting just right now.

I can go on and on and on..it's not easy but the good has most definitely been outweighing the bad.

  3. You have done great!! Looking good!!

And you look so much happier!!

Thank you! i read your bio on your profile and i wish you the best of luck with everything. I know the past few months have been everything but easy however, i'm positive that better days will come. I will think of you and send positive vibes and prayers your way when you have surgery next week. Wishing you all the best.

  4. Congratulations!!! Glad to see your success...it's just more inspiration! Today is my last day of the pre-op liquid diet, surgery is in the morning. I've lost 10 lbs in the past month!

Congrats to you as well! you are almost there! you are going to be just fine and surgery will be a breeze. You are off to a great start and it will only get better from here. I wish you luck tomorrow and if you need tips or anything, let me know. I'll be more than glad to help.

  5. Hey Guys,

    Here are my stats:

    Age: 22

Pre-op weight- 383lbs ( highest weight ever recorded)

Day of surgery (May 3rd 2013) after 1 week liquid diet- 373lbs.

    July 25th 2013- 320lbs.

i can truthfully and honestly say that this surgery saved my life. Not to say that i couldn't have lost the weight alone, i just wouldn't have done as well. The journey hasn't been easy AT ALL however, it's been a learning process and its getting better and easier each and everyday. I am so happy that i had this surgery and forever grateful to my mom for believing in this and paying for surgery for me.

The pic i attached below is a side by side picture of me last November and of me today. I can't begin to tell you how embarrassed and ashamed i am for letting myself go so much that i didn't even notice how big i was and how horrendous i looked in that outfit. It's really hard to see and even harder to digest. All i can say is that i am NEVER going back there and it can only get better from here.

I feel like i'm already a VSG success story and i'm not even halfway there yet.

To those who watch youtube VSG videos, i've been recording my progress so if you're interested, you can watch my latest video:

I can see a difference too!!! Not only that but you really do have a beautiful smile!! Bet you'll be flashing that more often too now that you're slimming down & feeling really good about yourself! Keep that smile going!!!

You guys are awesome! thank you! i love hearing compliments lol.. I will continue to post pics along the way. Thanks again guys. :) :D

  7. I wanted to post a before and during pic of myself.

    I had surgery 5/3/13 so i am 2 weeks post-op.

The before pic was taken before a wedding in late February of this year and the after pic was taken today after church. I've lost 30+ pounds within the past 3 1/2 weeks and though there isn't a big difference i can see i look much smaller. After doing the comparison i truly am so grateful i had the surgery.. I have good and bad days but if this is any indication on how i'm going to feel and look later on in my journey i'm most definitely in it to WIN IT!
