  1. I can eat more than that now, and I'm only in my 3rd week! Yikes! LOL
  2. I do, but I've been taking Prilosec and took 2 today lol The gurgling everytime I swallow is annoying and loud! My husband will look over at me when it happens and raise an eyebrow LOL
  3. I'm in my 3rd week post-op and just wondering how long the burping and such lasts? Everytime I swallow something I drink or eat, my throat gurgles and I burp. It's getting embarrassing Does it stop soon I hope?
  4. I've been craving the same thing. Actually...been craving a tostada salad LOL
  5. Yeah the gas is part of the surgery. I'm starting my 3rd week post-op and still have it. But, it's like everytime I swallow a drink or food....it gurgles then eventually I burp. I hope that part ends soon..
  6. I've only been eating greek yogurt....and the greek yogurt popsicles....good for protein. But, if your tummy doesn't like it yet...I would stop eating it for now and try again later.
  7. I'm looking forward to that time as well. Hang in there! It WILL happen
  8. I didn't have the fluid build up issue, but I did get the rash. It was really weird because it was mostly on my sides...not sure why that happens? I hope everything gets resolved for you soon...
  9. I put some in my cream of wheat this morning. Not great, but not much of a taste I didnt think..
  10. I'm just starting my 3rd week post-op and I can swallow the tiny pills. The bigger ones I cut into a size where I can swallow them. I tried crushing them and it was just NASTY LOL, so I had to make it so I could swallow them. I order the specialty bariatric supplements online, so they are all chewable...
  11. I just started week 3 today, and started with puree (and some soft) foods...
  12. Don't we need at least 70 grams of protein?
  13. Wow...thank you for sharing your story with us. It is good to hear from someone who has had it a few years back and to see how they are now. I can't imagine becoming someone who can't gain weight (as I'm sure at one point in your life, you probably thought the same way). I have friends with that problem too. I've spoken with some people who have had it around the time you did who are doing okay and maintaining...I wonder what else is going on to make this so difficult for you Is there a specialist of some sort you can see? And endocrinologist or anything? I don't know. There has to be something, right? I am so sorry to hear this and hear you're struggling. Please keep us posted on how you are doing and know you are in my thoughts *hugs*
  14. I'm starting week 3 now and everytime I swallow my drink or food, I can hear the gurgle and need to burp LOL I hope it stops soon because it's embarrassing
  15. I've never actually cooked with ricotta before, but I bought some today since it seems to be the cheese of choice LOL Does anyone have any good recipes they've used it for?
  16. Did you have to have sugar free applesauce? Everything on my plan seems to say sugar free...but, geez..LOL
  17. When do your plans say you can eat fruit? I started puree stage today, and would love to blend a banana with the chocolate protein! My plan says baby food puree fruits....but wouldn't doing it myself be just as effective? lol
  18. I get mine at GNC. I only really liked the fruit punch and grape (with some Mio of the same flavors put in...)
  19. I've been sitting here wondering the same thing. I'm having the same problem and I have a wedding I need to be at in a couple hours...
  20. The Premier Proteins are good...but for some reason, after a while my stomach didn't like it too much lol. So, I've been having to find other ways. I love the BariWise hot chocolate. It's only 15 grams...but, if you like hot chocolate, you can have more than one a day
  21. thanks for the suggestions! I'll clear it with the NUT....maybe I wont have to puree everything lol
  22. Oh that sounds good! So I don't have to puree tuna? I can just make it how I normally do?
  23. I start puree on Monday and I'm actually excited LOL After two weeks on liquids, "real food" is sounding so good...even if it is mush Anyone find any tricks to it? Any good "recipes"?
  24. BariWise makes really good hot chocolate! It tastes better than some of the regular ones I think
  25. I'm also 12 days out and having the same problem with the shakes and such. It just makes me run to the bathroom now. I've been trying to sip the Isopure fruity ones from GNC (with Mio or some flavoring put in...) slowly, but that doesn't always work either. I'm having trouble getting all my protien in some days too.. One thing I did found that I LOVE is Bariwise hot chocolate. It comes in different chocolate flavors and it's really good! It's only 15 grams of Protein, but that's better than none in a drink right?
