  1. 75 lbs down in under 3 months is incredible!!!
  2. My protein intake was no where near the recommended the 1st week or 2. Dr said to concentrate on liquids so not to become dehydrated and that protein would increase gradually. I started a chewable multi vitamin and a B-12 sublingual a couple of days after surgery. Good luck!
  3. Happy Anniversary! Sounds like it was a great day for you!
  4. Happy to hear you don't need another surgery now. Hopefully smooth sailing for you from here on out!!
  5. I don't know if I could get Naked at the grocery store just yet
  6. You may want to remove your phone number & send it in a private message
  7. People say the darndest things don't they. Once about 15 yrs ago when I lost a bunch of weight I was 25 lbs from goal which I never reached before I started going back up. Anyway I actually felt pretty good about myself and the way I looked, my activity level and the way clothes fit. So my female friends are saying you look great, you don't need to lose more, etc... The up walks one of the husbands and said, You'd really look great if you lost another 15-20 lbs. I said, Gee thanks! You're doing great and should do whatever feels best for you!!!
  8. I have a few days off next week and closet purging is on my list:)
  9. Can't help with your questions but congratulations on your loss!
  10. I would think they may have you do a stress test or lexiscan as part of surgery clearance if they are concerned.
  11. GNC by me had Quest Bars 1st box 25% off and if you bought 2nd box of same flavor 50% off so averaged to 20.00 per box. Not sure if it was just this week or not.
  12. Concentrate on liquids the 1st week. You don't want to become dehydrated. Broth, SF popsicles, water if you can. If you can't get protein in right away don't be as concerned. I think I was lucky to get in 200 cals a day that 1st week but did sip liquids when I could.
  13. Lobster is protein! Just depends how you prepare it. You may not want it dripping in butter.
  14. They stopped most of my meds in the hospital but the ones I took when I got home I had no problem swallowing. Included pill and capsule form. Dr said it should not be a problem and it wasn't:)
  15. It was on my not allowed list for the 1st 2 weeks after surgery due to the reflex of swallowing it. I still haven't had any.
  16. Protein, protein, protein. Cottage cheese, greek yogurt, refried beans.
  17. You're doing great! Based on your starting weight, your current calorie intake & you're a guy the lbs can drop quite a bit the 1st few weeks. Enjoy your head start. If the scale slows down a bit soon don't be discouraged. Your body will probably need to catch up and regroup at some point.
  18. Day 2 is worst day ever for many sleevers Each day and week will get better. Promise!! You will soon feel like you never had surgery except for the amount of food you can eat. Hang in there!
  19. I was told to start walking right away but any exercise that involved your core had to wait til 6 weeks out. So check with your Dr. Best of luck tomorrow!!
  20. I agree. There are many PCP's out there that do support or suggest WLS for their patients. Find one:)
