    162 lbs in a year!

Absolutely incredible. You must feel like a totally new person! Any before and after pics to share?
  6. The first 4 weeks I tracked everything on a blank calendar so I could show my NUT and because it was easy at that point as I was eating so little. I then went to MFP and do track everything at this point. I'm still in losing phase so want to know if there's a bump in the road if it's due to a change in my intake.
  7. Congratulations! You're doing awesome!
  8. Hoping she just forgot her phone charger. Do let us know when you hear from her.

Congrats and thanks for posting. You look great. I especially like the jeans and tank top comparison pic. Your arms look great. Exercise, plastics or good genes?

Just over 3 months out. Haven't had any of the problems you've listed. Totally worth it in my opinion

  16. Congrats on all you've achieved and giving us an update!
  17. Just do what you've been doing. Eat protein first and drink plenty of water. You won't be able to go "overboard" (hehehe) if you stick with your guidelines. Have a great time!

    Hit the Century Mark Today

Super job! You must be feeling pretty great right now!
  19. I think many on here like that drink. I have 3 bottles of the chocolate version still in my fridge. Bought it at 2 weeks out and tried one. Could not finish it. It was way too thick for me and I did shake the heck out of it. I use Unjury now and really like it but only have maybe 1 shake a week now.

If I replace 1 meal with a protein shake pre op

Many people lose weight on their own. I've dropped 70-80 lbs at least 3 or 4 times over the past 20 years. It never stayed off though as I resumed bad eating habits. I had a former neighbor who lost 100 lbs by cutting out everything except lean protein, fish, veggies and some fruits. She was on Oprah's 100 people who lost 100 lbs show. Have you attempted losing weight on your own in the past? What were the results? It won't hurt to lose weight prior to surgery. It would put you in a better place for surgery and recovery. Good luck with whatever you choose.

    I made a mistake

I find myself looking at others at the grocery store make their decisions picking something off the shelf thinking to myself...really you're buying that? or seeing what they put on the belt at check out. I know my cart was very embarrasing prior to surgery and now I'm like, who is this healthy girl?

    2 days

I had a LONG group appt the week prior to surgery with 5 or 6 others having surgery the same week. They gave us and went over what to expect and what to do the 1st 2 weeks after surgery which was nice so I could have everything I would need ready when I got home. Each member of my team, Dr/NUT/PA/Clinic Director all came in day of discharge to go over details and make sure I understood what was going on.

    when you stopped your PPI

My surgeon gave me 2 month rx for PPI at time of discharge from hospital. At 2 month f/u appt the PA wrote me for another month. We had discussed it and she asked if I was having symtoms. I told her no, but I didn't have symptoms before surgery but didn't want to start having them. Then I had my PCP take over the rx for the future. At my 3 month f/u the PA asked me if I needed a refill and I told her my PCP was going to do it. She was fine with that. I plan on taking it for at least a few more months and then will see how it's going.

    Shower

I found when I did shower it felt better to keep my back to the showerhead and let the soapsuds run over my stomach so not to hurt my incision area.
