On the other side now! Just a bit uncomfortable now. So I go on full liquids for 2 weeks tomorrow... Haven't lost any weight yet.. Nor do I want to even look at food.

I'm nervous excited ready!! Been on liquids for 2 weeks and been hearing certain people talk about clear liquids the day before surgery and didn't remember what my doc said.

Surgery in the morning!! Question is everyone on clear liquids the day before or just certain doctors require that?

One more week for me! Halfway through the liquid diet, I've lost 6 pounds. And let's say it's not really going too well....but I'm excited about this next week!! Jan 6 at 9 am!!!!! Happy new year to everyone

Thanks...same problem here with the shakes.

I know...my date is jan 6 and started my 2 week Monday. Supposed to be 5 shakes a day and water and broth in between. I'm going nuts too. Can barely get 3 shakes down. I'm thinking of a grilled chicken and vegetable dinner tonight. No carbs. Would that be a terrible idea?

Started mine today. Let's just say only could tolerate 3 of the 5 shakes I was told to drink daily. Did broth and jello. This is going to be a long 2 weeks. I'm weak!

My husband says they should just induce me in a coma for 2 weeks. He isn't looking forward to this...lol. I'm giving it my best! Keep me lifted in your thoughts!

Where can you get the abd binder? I have 2 weeks till my date and want everything I need!! Also what is this pain pod thing? Never heard of one but had to sign a form for my insurance yesterday at my preop appt. is it necessary?

I'm so excited... But why do I feel like I'm walking the green mile? I start my liquid diet Monday, right before Christmas. My date is jan 6th. But all week I have been feeling like I just have to eat one last time.

Wow!! I'm so excited! I start my liquids Monday..I hope to have progress like that..I have just been asking various people about any complications or how they are adjusting. I usually do well after surgery so pray all goes as planned

Omg... Ever since I got the approval I have been experiencing acid reflux. Never have before. Even the endoscopy came back with no stomach issues. Why is this all the sudden happening?!?!

Prayers are with y'all!! Keep us posted. Mine is jan 6 so I start my liquids Monday! I'm so excited but scared too. It's still a few weeks but I read and read on here and get freaked out. But I want to change my health just don't want to destroy it in the process...anybody else feel this way?

Just an update...I was approved last Wednesday!! They called Thursday with my surgery date. I start my liquids on next Monday the 23rd and surgery is Monday jan 6th!! I'm so excited! Nervous! Anxious! And a little bummed on spending the holidays on liquids but the outcome is greater than the struggle!!!

I just made gumbo a few weeks ago so I'm not worried lol...

You are so right. My husband told me the same thing no gumbo for you this year. How funny. I will keep everyone in my prayer. We have to keep in touch over the holidays. Are you getting sleeved on 01/06? Yes, January 6th!!! What a way to start a new year!!!

Lots of encouragement here... I've been thinking the same thing! I start my pre op liquids the same day on the 13th. First thing when I told my fam...oohh NO gumbo for you!!! But I can do it! I've been working hard for months to get this surgery! I will be praying for you and hope you will be praying for me in return... Just think of the real reason for the season... Celebrating the birth of Jesus...not food...

Approved yesterday, doc called today and scheduled for jan 6th!! New year new me!!! Last day of school was today so I have graduation tomorrow night!!! What a great day it has been for me!!!! I'm sooooo excited!!! Congrats to everyone!!!
