  1. Excellent work my friend!! You gave me some motivation there since I'm also 6'4" and my highest was 348. 11 weeks out and down to 288.
  2. I seen that some of you take protein in one setting of anywhere from 40-60g at a time. My dietician said anything over 30g is a waste because your body can't absorb more than that at a time. Were you all told differently, or since some of it is a slow release protein does it not matter?
  3. I've tried sugar free pudding, pureed soup, unsweetened applesauce, protein shakes and water. Will try cream if wheat this morning. The shakes and water take me forever...just due to how queasy I feel after a sip.
  4. Got sleeved on Monday the 10th. Slept most of that day and didn't even get out of bed. Walked quite a bit on Tuesday and Wednesday before I was released to go home. Have really struggled getting in liquids or food...mainly due to the nausea. Nothing has come back up, but it sure don't like going down. All in all I'm very happy and am already trying harder on the food and liquids today

  6. Let's not forget about the June 10th guys too
  7. Was supposed to begin two week liquid diet on Memorial Day but had family BBQ so didn't start until yesterday (I know...excuses excuses). Not enjoying the shakes so much and I haven't been hungry really, but the constant headache is the worst part by far. Luckily I hear the headache goes away after 3 or 4 days and I'm down 5 lbs already so I'm using that as ammunition to continue.
  8. June 10th here. Started process last July with a seminar. August met with Dr. September through March had to do nutrition/exercise classes (insurance required 6 months). Had an IVC filter placed earlier today and begin 2 week liquid liver shrinking diet on 05/27...only protein shakes, low sodium broth, sugar free jello and sugar free popsicles. Who's gonna be grouchy?? -> this guy <-
  9. Bdo sorry you're going through that! I begin liquids next week and if someone teases me with food they're likely to lose the food...and quite possibly a hand!
  10. Welcome my friend! I haven't had surgery yet (06/05), but I wanted to welcome you and reiterate what everyone else says as far as this being a great area to get all kinds of information...albeit sometimes too much information!! You will learn a lot and I wish you the best.
  11. Excellent job! Three weeks from tomorrow, I get sleeved (6/10). Today I'm about 345-350 lbs and I'm 6'4". I will be doing a two week liquid diet, so we'll see what my surgery weight is. I hope I get close to the results you did!
  12. Great question! I'm curious about that myself. I'm not having surgery until June. I would imagine P90X could be done after you're cleared...6 weeks afterwards maybe??? Hopefully you get some answers!
  13. My doctor never mentioned trying to lose a specific amount of weight. From my understanding, it is more of just a liver shrinking thing.
  14. Found out yesterday my date is June 10th. Very excited, but I have to get an IVC filter placed first...sometime in next couple weeks I believe.
  15. Thank you for your responses...and you're right, the video did have a lot of information.
  16. I personally don't have any expectations, but would be happy with my waist being the same or lower than my length, which is 36".
  17. Hello everyone. Been stalking the forums for a few weeks and decided to bite the bullet and join so I can get some feedback on something that I am seriously having trouble with deciding on, which is RNY or VSG?? I have been submitted to insurance for approval, and do not have a surgery date yet...so I need to make my decision quick. I am leaning towards the sleeve, but have concerns. Those concerns are: VSG not being restrictive enough (because I know how I have been over the years) and I already take heartburn medication and understand that issue gets worse. I don't want to lose too much muscle, don't like the thought of intestines being rerouted, and don't particularly want to deal with the dumping issues of the RNY. If anyone could give thoughts or opinions on how your decision was made, I would very much appreciate it. By the way, I'm male and 6'4" 345 lbs.
