  1. Hi all I'm scheduled for my surgery June 6th. Up until the last few days I have been so excited to have my surgery. It's been a long road to get myself here to this point. Now as I think about my future new self, skinny and healthy, I feel angry. I'm mad that I let myself get to this point that I have to do something this drastic to get back to a healthy place. I'm mad that I'm going to have flabby skin and that I'm going to lose my hair. I feel so down right now that I don't even want the surgery. Anyone else feel like this preop?
  2. Make sure your not dehydrated! Muscle aches are also a sign of that!
  3. Could it be the artificial sweeteners in them? I'm preop and have been working with my nut to find options for me as aspartame and other artificial sweeteners make me poop
  4. Hi all I'm set for June 6th. Would love to connect with people having it the same day. Anyone out there?
  5. Ok so I get the idea of a NSV, but what does it stand for??
  6. That's amazing! Congrats!!
  7. That makes much more sense to me that way. I hope to be one of those people who lose it all too! Thanks!!
  8. My doctor said that with sleeve people can lose only 65% of their weight. I'm 5'5" and weigh 290. That would only get me to around 200 pounds which isn't good enough in my book. I'm seeing such different results here. Why the difference? Help! Did I make the wrong choice or should I go for the switch???
  9. Just got insurance approval. Surgery is on June 6!!! I couldn't wait to get on this forum and tell you all!! Where are my sleeve sisters and brothers???
  10. Thanks everyone for posting. I'm going to make sure to look back at all theses pics when I'm recovering in the hospital and asking myself what have I done??
  11. Can I ask? With that quick of a weight loss, do you have much lose skin? I'm so worried about this and want to know as I am still preop
  12. I'm surprised your doctor lets you have Slim Fast. Mine said it was a no no because of the sugar. Glad to hear you are doing better!!
  13. So I just found out my paperwork has been submitted! How long did most people have to wait with Aetna before approval. I have a date I really want the surgery so hoping I get it for a surgery date of June 6th!!! What are my chances?
  14. Is that normal? I haven't heard that but would really like to know.
  15. I know. I'm waiting to hear if my doc submitted for me. I really need to have this surgery beginning if June so it's making me crazy waiting. I've called the office several times but no one has called me back. I'm becoming to crazed. I even think that maybe I'll go into the office to check in!!!
  16. Dr Roslin is out of Northern Westchester Hospital too!
  17. I'm penciled in for June 6th pending insurance! I'm excited and soooooooo scared!! I know it's the right choice but I'm just scared of the unknown!!!
