I'm crossing my fingers that I'll be scheduled in July ... I meet my surgeon next month and I have my 3rd pre op class next month as well ... I'm trying my best to be patient ...

Not scheduled yet but expecting a July date (toward the end). All stuff submitted to insurance last Monday. Ready for my approval!!!!!

Morning ladies! I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 19. I've always been told that if I lost weight it would help my PCOS. (At that time I was 150 lbs). I'm 34 now...weighing 255... Still dealing with passing polyps monthly and everything else that goes along with PCOS. I've had 3 failed IVF attempts and I'm currently in the process of adopting a little bundle of joy (being born this fall) I'm also going through the process of becoming a July sleever!! This is a very exciting year for me. I just wanted to suggest to all of you who want to become pregnant after fully recovering from surgery, please see a specialist ahead of time to make sure there are no OTHER factors preventing you from becoming pregnant. Fertility medicine stimulated my ovaries for me to produce 12 healthy eggs. But each time they were placed in my uterus, they would die... I was tested and found that I have high natural killer cells in my body and they reject foreign objects (organs, embryos) . Last year I tried getting an intralipid infusion to suppress my NK cells during the process but it still didn't work. As of now, I have 6 fertilized embryos left and decided to just adopt for now. Good morning!!! I have to meet all of their requirements then get an approval. Last time I didn't get far enough in the process to get an approval before I started getting negative feedback from family and friends... I only did the the psych eval and sleep study. That's why I get so excited about each step forward in this process :-) I have an appt with the dietician next Wednesday. Once June gets here, it's going to be down hill for us!!! July is right around the corner!!!! Do they give us our date before or after the approval?

By the way when you guys refer to a nut appointment. Does that mean a psychologist appointment lol !!!! Do you guys call psychologists nuts over there. That is hilarious if you do. I just told my hubby and we are both giggling now !!!

Oh nuts are nutritionists lol...... Well don't I feel silly now... Bloody dumb blonde over here in oz land.. I thought that it would be a bit cheeky calling psychologists nuts... Lol... Patients maybe... But psychologists.... Lol...now me and hubby are cracking up.... !!!!!

Oh I'm so hearing you about your knees. My knee, one in particular is so bad at the moment. It's 9.15pm here and I'm lying in bed with a heat pack feeling very sorry for myself. Dr thinks that it will improve once I lose weight. It's really freezing here at the moment as well so I don't think that cold weather helps
I think that over here in. Oz land things must be done a lot differently as overhere we don't need to do the sleep study, not all people have the endoscopy. When you go and see your surgeon he gives you a date for surgery then and there, you do need to go and see a dietician, you can normally get in the next week to see dietician.I didn't need to see a psychologist either. In saying that though I did when I had my lap band so maybe that's the reason why I didn't have to again. Also in regards to insurance company, I just give my surgeon all my details and I don't need todo a thing. My friend just booked his surgery last week, he does need to have an endoscopy tomorrow and is going to see dietician next weeks. He's booked in for surgery 3 days after me.. It's funny how different places have different rules.. Anyway I'm going to call it a night, sweet dreams, take care and chat soon and I'll also spraying for you guys as well. Like you I am so anxious to get my surgery date and know that everything is a go. Do you have to be reapproved by insurance or will they use your other info from last time? I have a nut appt next week -
I think I will ask if they can give me some idea of a surgery date. Just want to keep up the forward motion!

Hello Divalicious9700, yay I am so happy that you have booked your endoscopy, one more of the list... getting closer and closer now for you.... yay...
I have got 6 weeks to go. I go and see my Dr again on the 5th june to get all the last minute details including times to be at hospital etc..
I'm very excited. It seems to be the only thing that I am thinking about at the moment. I'm looking forward to starting the journey to a smaller me and getting on with my life. Please let me know when you have your date, i'm sure that it won't be long at all now..

@Beachbum2017 & @Lilyrose I just scheduled my Endoscopy. I'm excited to be making progress. I'm soooooo ready to get a surgery date. How's everything going with you all?

Pencilled in for July 5 today. Can't wait to get things rolling.

July 1!!!!!!! Just scheduled today. All my info was sent to the insurance and approved the same day!!!! Crazy! Oh I'm in NYC .

ON TO A NEW ME

Very happy to report that I am due to have the sleeve on June 20th, 2013. I am excited, nervous, hopeful.....I have been on this journey for nearly 2 years. Quit smoking nearly 6 months ago, changed my thinking about food, now I find myself getting all ready, cleaning, buying what I will need, getting all my time off paperwork in order. I have decided to take 4 weeks off, so I can heal physically and emotionally, get used to the new belly. I will keep you al posted!!

<p> It's really hard coming to terms with my weight loss. I only took this picture for a relative, so I decided to compare an old picture from the summer. In my head, when I look in the mirror, I see the girl in the photo on the left staring back at me. I cant find solace in any of the numbers and statistics, and not even this photo comparison makes me feel better. I am still unhappy with my body. Did anyone else have these feelings? Did they go away as you approached your goal weight?

Ha! Was thinking about summer all day yesterday and making my vacation plans - that was a freudian slip! I did make it to the support group meeting. It was really good! Very inspiring to see all the different people at the different stages of this process and how excited they all are about their progress. Last night they had a cooking demonstration and handed out some recipes, etc. They are talking about setting up a clothing exchange so that people can donate their larger clothes as they get smaller so that we don't have to spend so much money buying clothes while we are shrinking! Sounds like an excellent idea to me. Next one is going to be "Ladies Night" and there will be makeovers by Carmen!Carmen! and mocktails, etc. I'm really going to try to make that one. I'm so excited and want to know my date NOW!!!

Hey Summer! Haven't heard from you in awhile! Are you going to the Support Group meeting this evening? I think I will actually be able to make this one....How's progress? I'm still trudging along - I'm finished with all my doctor's appts now (I think) and I'm trying to get used to my CPAP machine (of course I had sleep apnea!) so I just have nutrition classes and meetings with dieticians.....when I went to my nutrition class last week I had lost 2 more pounds so something must be working though it could just have been all the running around to doctor's appts and not having time to eat! Hope you are doing well!

I'm sorry that you had to go through that. The last time I had it gone, I caught the devil trying to get that "****" out of my hair!!!
As far as Protein shakes goes, I actually like Isopure. I've been using that off and on for years as a Meal Replacement. So far, it's the only one that I can tolerate. Oh yeah... Those V-shakes are really good too...(Body by vii) and they're a pretty good source of Protein.
13lbs is a HUGE accomplishment!!! Congrats on that and keep up the good work!! I hope that I loose a few pounds before my next appointment!!!
