Good for her---and how wonderful to have your best friend/sister as a support and cheerleader! You could ask on VST if anyone has used a doctor in her area as a recommendation and place to start....

Thank you all.....if that was gas pain in my arms, it was gone by this morning....happy for that.
I measure out 1 ounce of liquid in a tiny cup and spread it out for 15 minutes....than repeat so I get 4 ounces in an hour.....at least that's the goal...and it's a lot of work keeping an eye on it....

That's the whole thing.....it will be drastic (hopefully) and very noticeable....I like your response. Thanks.

I just had surgery last week and on the way home from the hospital, picked up the meds, and havent needed to use them at all. Not once!! SImply was no pain once I left. Hell I never even had any soreness at any of the incisions. CRAZY!! Everyones body is different
That's wonderful new....we should all be so lucky!

I used the T3 for about 4 days after I got out of the hospital and that was mainly at night. I would equate the feeling to more of a soreness, like you got punched in the stomach. The pain is really very tolerable.
Good luck!
Thanks....what is T3?

Rant away....Isn't it the truth what we've subjected our bodies to already...family/coworkers? bless their hearts, but they haven't walked a mile in your shoes.......surround yourself with positive people, even if it's on VST. I haven't told people, and at times I feel like the omission is lying, then I hear the comments one sister say to another, and I know it's the right decision for me.
I think the pre-op is a mindset....Today is day 2 of the official pre-op diet, and it's going good...I write down everything I've had, the time I ate it, and record the liquids......for 2 weeks, it's doable....at least that's what I tell myself LOL

Sherri, you're too funny! I did check the elastic on something and it was good.....but I was thinking about that, too....I have some gorgeous suits I used to wear to the office......If they are still in good condition, those are something I'd keep

I need some clarification: Are you in a hurry to get rid of the clothes because you want them gone or because you're afraid of your husband's reaction?
And forget going to the Goodwill, I'm pretty sure you could open one of your own!
Open my own store, too funny. The original purpose was to pull them out, wash, dry, and hang them downstairs by size (we have a huge area for that)......however I didn't realize how much was up there......
About the hubby.....I didn't want him to come home and walk in on that mess in the hallway......I put it in the spare bedroom....I fessed up, showed him the piles of clothing...he just laughs at me.....I'll go through it...I did see sizes 20-14 (which I think would serve me well for a few months after surgery)....but who knows how dated they are LOL
Thanks everyone!

Maggie, it will be 3 shakes and 2C of yogurt (which is an improvement from what the NUT said LOL) and all the clear SF liquids I can handle....

Amy, glad you're doing so well!
Mom2ris, I decided not to have a "last meal".....what did you end up having?
Good luck!

Thank you for that, TammyLynn!
Glad to here it's going so well. Thanks!

I wasn't planning on telling anyone other than DH & my sister (by the way, I can so relate to the Mom relationship LOL and I'm 49 as well)....
I have 2 friends who have had WLS and we exercise twice a week together--and both were open about their surgery.....I feel badly not telling them, but once it's out in the open, it's out there, and I'd rather keep this close to home....

Congratulations! I started my journey April 9th with a visit to one of the seminars.........and will be lucky to have surgery in August......my last NUT appointment will be July 1st, and then we will submit paperwork to the insurance. Good luck!

Mary,
You're doing great! I was sleeved 8/6 and you've lost more than I have.....and our start weight isn't that far apart (mine was 225).
My weight has been a stalemate more than 1/2 of the time post op....If you're weighing yourself daily, don't.....that can get you down.....try weighing once a week or every other week.....I'm sure you're seeing a difference in your clothing..
sometimes I compare myself to others, and think I'm doing poorly....but I have to remind myself it's not a race, and we all lose weight at our own pace....no two bodies are the same.....Good luck, don't be so tough on yourself.....good luck
